Lowe’s is Hosting a National Hiring Day and Hiring Thousands of Team Members on May 4th
Lowe’s is hiring for thousands of job openings! 🙌
Lowe’s has announced plans to hire more than 50,000 associates across U.S. stores in preparation for its busiest time of year – spring!
On May 4th, the company is hosting a National Hiring Day where they will be hiring thousands of team members for seasonal, part-time, or full-time careers. Interested? Just head to any Lowe’s store nationwide from 10AM to 7PM. Visit the registration table or customer service to sign in, and they’ll text when it’s time for your interview.
Lowe’s hourly associates are eligible for competitive pay, on-the-job learning, career advancement opportunities, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) plan, discounted stock purchases, family-building benefits, and paid volunteer time.
Other benefits of working at Lowe’s include the profit-sharing bonuses paid to associates every quarter. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Lowe’s has paid its hourly associates six bonuses, with another special payment planned for February 5.
Active hourly associates at U.S. stores, distribution centers, and call centers will receive this bonus in recognition of their continued dedication during the pandemic. Full-time hourly associates will receive $300, and part-time and seasonal associates will receive $150.
“As we approach spring, I am enormously proud of the way our associates have served customers and supported each other this past year through an unprecedented health crisis. We’re pleased to provide this additional bonus to support our current associates and excited to welcome these new associates so we can better serve customers across the country.” – Marvin R. Ellison, Lowe’s president and CEO

My husband has been with Lowes for 21 years. He has been very happy with them.
Thank you! That’s really great to hear!
My brother-in-law a veteran, has been with Lowe’s for over 5 years. He likes it too!
It’s great for the few people that they treat fairly and give full time hours to. However, I work with a store full of disappointed workers and ever since my hire almost 6 months ago it’s been a constant fight to get any hours.
Both my boys worked there before college. Maybe it was our local store, but the safety was horrible. One guy was electrocuted and they didn’t care. People in the appliance dept. fighting for customers so they could keep their jobs. The training was horrible. They stuck my son in plumbing and he had no idea about anything there.
I worked there for 7 years a ways back…but they promoted me 3 times and paid me good and we’re super nice and I am a woman (that was back in the times they had no women on the salesfloor)
Semi off topic but i worked at Home Depot for all of about 3 weeks. I went in and applied for customer service desk as that was one of many positions they had advertised to hire in and i have many many years of CS experience in retail and over the phone with insurance etc….they plopped me in the paint dept. I had no experience whatsoever and tried like hell to learn from zero experience. I found it horribly boring and difficult as i had never so much so as painted even a bedroom. Then you have to climb a 3 story ladder to bring down cans of paint and such and equally or even heavier stuff. Im 5’1″ and 100 lbs. I physically wasnt able to even do that. They didnt care. They didnt care about safety, didnt care if i sold the customer the wrong type of paint, and lord help the customer who needed more paint a special color to finish their project. They paid average so it wasnt like staying bc the pay outweighed the horror. I sure hope Lowes is better than HD because i cant imagine the disappointment of the many people i sold paints or deck stains to…bc they felt 3 days of training sufficed. 🙄
Unfortunately, sometimes it’s just one person who is in charge of making a decision to keep you in that department. In a large company like that, there should have been someone to help you move. My son got a job stocking candy at Target and got fired by another new employee who he reported to after 2 weeks for being too slow. I had my son call the hiring manager to complain, and he transferred him to another Target where he’s happier working in a different department, he’s made some nice friends and they’re always calling him for additional hours.
Our Lowe’s always has a big sign that they are hiring so my neighbor applied and found out that they just always take applications but aren’t really hiring.
