Make Easy 3-Ingredient Chocolate Fudge in the Microwave
This microwave fudge is rich and simple to make!
Anyone here in the mood for an EASY no-bake dessert? Say hello to microwave fudge!
Chocolate makes any day better, and getting your fix has never been easier than using this easy fudge recipe! Did you know you can make homemade chocolate microwave fudge in just two minutes? I had no idea this was a thing, and recently tried it for myself!
This is such a genius way to use a can of sweetened condensed milk from the pantry!
What an amazing idea for celebrations year-round.
This idea was actually shared with me by a fellow Hip2Save teammate who makes this 3-ingredient microwave fudge recipe as a tradition each Christmas as a holiday treat. I think, however, this is a great dessert for any celebration or even a “just because” treat.
I wanted to try a batch using semi-sweet chocolate chips and nuts…and then also paired white chocolate chips with chopped Oreo cookies. All I can say is Ohhh. Myyy. Goshhh. Both of these are insane yum — my family enjoyed these flavors so much!
This microwave fudge honestly tastes like it’s coming from a fancy candy company, but is actually so low effort and easy to make at home!
Tips for making the best microwave fudge:
- There are honestly so many possibilities with this recipe by changing up the add-ins! Some to consider would be various nuts like chopped peanuts, almonds, walnuts, and Oreo cookies like I did. You could add dried fruit like cranberries or coconut too!
- Make sure to line your square pan with parchment paper or tin foil with non-stick spray. This will ensure you’ll be able to easily remove your fudge without it sticking! It’s easy to just pop it out once it sets up after refrigerating.
- You’ll need a sharp knife to cut through your finished fudge. I used my favorite pizza cutter tool, and it made the fudge much easier to cut into smaller squares!
- You can store your finished homemade fudge squares in a covered container in the fridge for up to a couple of weeks.

Pour the mixture into the pan and spread evenly.
6
Place in the fridge for a couple of hours until hardened.
7
Slice into about 30 bite-sized pieces. Serve, and enjoy!
Additional Notes
The directions are the same for both fudge flavors.
Check out what my teammate Jenna had to say about this easy microwave fudge recipe:
“This is so easy!! All you need are a few ingredients and a microwave. Think of all the flavor combinations. I only had pecans on hand, so I added those instead of the walnuts and it worked out well. This made plenty of fudge and with just a couple of minutes of prep… it’s really the easiest dessert idea ever and oh so good.”

Wow, looks great! Can’t wait to try it.
Yes! Thanks KB!
How can you limit the high calorie count of the microwave rich fudge !
Have you asked a nutritionist for a low calorie count?
Thanks’
I add 1tsp of vanilla at the end and it adds a little flavor and makes the fudge glossy.
Thanks for this! I am excited to try that next time!
I second the vanilla! Just adds a little something! This is a tried and true recipe and in a pinch, always hits it out the park when brought for dessert to a party, hostess gift or as a thinking of you or birthday gift! And—— no one has to know you made it in the microwave! Although, like a good deal, an easy recipe is such a bragging right😉 and I love to share!
Thanks for sharing! I will try that next time! I agree – no one has to know LOL 🙂
I Love this recipe…I’ve been using it for years and people always say, “I have to get your fudge recipe. It was delicious!” I just laugh and say, can you memorize 3 ingredients?” They don’t believe me😅
You can also add mini marshmallows and it becomes rocky road fudge. If you want to make it really glossy you can add a couple tablespoons of light corn syrup. Can’t wait to make your Oreo cookie fudge! Yum!😋
Yay that is so fun to hear! Thanks for the yummy suggestions!
how many cups of marshmallows should be added for rocky road?
I have made this recipe many times. My families favorite is peanut butter- use a bag of peanut butter chips and add a dollop of peanut butter.
Oh Brenda that sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing 😍👏YUMM
I just tried ur recipe by using white chocolate peppermint baking chips, I had from the after Xmas clearance, and salted roasted pistachios. It turned out GREAT!!! Thanks so much Lina for teaching a super easy recipe to use up baking chips I had in the pantry.

My mom has always made fudge this way. Always a big hit!

How about white chocolate, strawberries (cut up or just cut in half) and some blueberries… Idea for the 4th!😊
This is the best, easiest fudge I have ever made. I also substituted peanut butter chips and crushed peanuts to make peanut butter fudge this way and it turned out glorious.
Wow!!! Yum- thanks for sharing!
I’ve been making a similar fudge for 30+ years at Christmas time. It’s called “Fools Proof Fudge “ and it’s this recipe with a dash of salt and teaspoon of Vanilla added. I give it in small tins to neighbors and the yard man.. THEY LOVE IT! I always do mine on the stove, but it only takes a minute to melt chips then you take it off the heat anyway. And I like to scrape the pan. Lol
Oh nice! Thanks for sharing your method Carrie!
Sweetened condensed milk can be homemade with a sugar free recipe. Lily’s chocolate chips are a great substitute, as well. I believe the recipe is on site called “ My Montana Kitchen”.
It’s been awhile since I made it, lol
Does leftover fudge need to be stored in the fridge?
Yes! You can store them in a covered container in the fridge for up to a couple of weeks.
Lina, I need info on your life! You are always so happy and doing all kinds of things like camping in the national parks and making fudge! How can we be more like Lina??!! How do you have time for it all?
Ahhh oh my gosh Holly you are so sweet! Please know I often look like i have my stuff together but most of the time I do not! Lol
I do have the best job ever here though! Thanks for your encouraging words. 💕🤩🙌
Good ideas! For lactose intolerant folks, what can we use to substitute the condensed milk? Thanks!
Thanks Mavis! I would research some dairy free fudge recipes online and see what you’d like to try. It sounds like nut butter or coconut milk or cream could be a good sub in from the ones I just browsed!
Sweetened condensed coconut milk! It’s heaven in a can!! I use it for my Vietnamese iced coffee!
where o where can we find this product.
I find it at Walmart and Wegmans. I’m sure Whole Foods has it too.
This is my go to fudge recipe and it always gets compliments. I always add the 1 tsp vanilla at the end, but we also like adding extracts to different batches. Some of our favorites are orange, raspberry (also really good with dark chocolate), and peppermint extract with crushed candy canes either on top or mixed in. This year my boys have challenged me to make a pop-rock version that crackles in your mouth, but I haven’t tried it yet.
I made this for a Thanksgiving treat! It was delicious!
Oh yay! Thanks for sharing!
I wonder if I can use my leftover cream of coconut. The consistency is really similar to condensed milk but it has a coconut flavor. Hmmm.
Ya sounds like a great non dairy option to me! If you try let us know!
2 ingredient sugar free peanut butter fudge 1 container sugar free vanilla frosting microwaved for 1 minute 1 jar smuckers all natural peanut butter (peanuts and salt) microwaved for 1 minute Mix the 2 together and place in a baking dish and freeze to harden. Then cut into squares. I made this on a camping trip and it was a big hit
Oh yum! Sounds easy and good!
This sounds even easy enough for me,lol
For the lactose intolerant there are other options! I’ve seen sweetened condensed coconut milk at my local health food store!
You can buy it at Walmart and Wegmans as well as Whole Foods.
Just made the Oreo recipe tonight and used Lily’s white peppermint chips with Enjoy Life white chips with mint cookies from Kinnikinik. So good! Just the right amount of mint for our chocolate mint lovers!
That sounds wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
