Our Team Loves These 6 Makeup Removers, Starting Under $6!
Good things come to those who remove their makeup before bed. 😉
We all know how important it is to take off your makeup before you go to sleep. The buildup of all that makeup could cause your skin to clog pores and create unwanted breakouts. As durable as my makeup wipes are, I always end up needing something more resilient for my eyes to take the last bit of eyeliner or my waterproof mascara off.
I’ve gathered a couple of the team’s all-time favorite eye makeup removers! 😍
1. Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water is the most budget-friendly.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water – $7.97 (regularly $10.49)
This gentle waterproof makeup remover allows you to take off your makeup without any harsh rubbing and you get so much of the product that’ll last you a long time. I promise your wallet will thank you for buying this one!
“I use Micellar Water, all of the dermatologists I follow on TikTok and Instagram recommend it and it works great!” – Angela
2. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes are great for sensitive eyes and skin.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes – $9.78 for a twin-pack
We’ve all heard of Neutrogena. These makeup remover wipes are another great option from this popular skincare brand that dermatologists rave about. It’s perfect for super sensitive eyes and safe for contact lens wearers. It’s also non-greasy which is another huge plus. 🙌
“We love the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes. It even gets my daughter’s dance make up off really well!” – Michelle
3. Almay Makeup Remover Pads are the most convenient!
Almay Makeup Remover Pads – $5.32+ (regularly $5.99+)
These makeup remover pads are extremely convenient when you’re in a rush. They also don’t irritate the eyes at all! The pads have a soothing factor as they contain aloe, cucumber, and green tea. 🌿
“I’ve used Almay makeup remove pads for many years and can’t live without them! They get the hardest to remove liners and mascara off quickly and add moisture to my eyes (not the non-oil ones, they do nothing). Almay wipes also never dry out because of the secure lid, while other wipes tend to not reseal causing them to dry out quickly. I will also sometimes use a Makeup Eraser if I don’t have a ton of makeup on in general. It’s super helpful as well!!
4. Cold-Pressed Organic Coconut Oil has additional beneficial nutrients and so many other uses too!
Garden of Life Coconut Oil 14 oz. – $7.29

Total price just $5.83!
As a HUGE coconut oil fan, I want to talk about how amazing this product is for eye makeup remover (and for so many other things) if you don’t want to splurge so much. It’s au naturale and much safer for your eyes.
Not only will it take your eye makeup off, but it will also give moisture back to your lashes & is also known to help lashes grow. I recommend picking out “cold-pressed” coconut oil over the regular liquid ones as they are filled with more of the nutrients that can benefit your lashes.
To use, lather the coconut oil on your hands and once it’s liquified, just use your fingers to gently wipe away the eye makeup. Rinse with warm water after!
5. Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm-Clinique is the most “splurge-worthy” of the bunch!
If you’re looking to splurge, this is one of my absolute favorites! The cleansing balm is super delicate on the skin and doesn’t sting your eyes whatsoever. It’s also vegan without any parabens, fragrance, or synthetic matter.
Just do a quick glide across your lids and you’ll get the extra residue off after washing your face.
This makeup remover is FANTASTIC, it melts ALL makeup off easily, I’ve had trouble skin in the past, this WILL NOT break you out, LOVE IT!!!
6. Makeup Eraser is a great investment for an all-in-one cleanse.
The Original Makeup Eraser – $20

Final price just $18!
If you’ve kept up with us, you know how much the team has been raving about the Makeup Eraser. If you just don’t feel the need to spend extra money on your eye makeup, I recommend getting this for an all-in-one cleanse! The only thing you need is warm water to remove all of the eye makeup, foundation, and lipstick without any irritation.
It’s also extremely frugal and can be used for up to 5 whole years! A good cleanser or exfoliator should also be used in addition to this for the face to avoid acne or other skin issues.
“This is one of those products I never knew I needed until I had it! It’s so simple to use, to the point where I can run it under water and take my makeup off on my way to bed (for those extra lazy nights 😂). I’m shocked it’s able to remove waterproof mascara without any product! I use a different spot each time I use it and then wash it after the cloth is pretty much covered. It’s awesome for travel, too.” – Emily
If you wear sunscreen daily, like I do, I will say I have tried a number of these products. The waters and cleansers here don’t do the job. You need something to lift the zinc sunscreen. What I have found to be a cheap alternative is ponds cold cream cleanser ($5)… not the ponds cleansing balm (I tried that and it really didn’t work for my skin but my daughter seems to love it! Using the ponds first and then a microfiber towel works great. And I do really like dollar trees $1 makeup remover cloth that is pink and looks like the one pictured here. Dollar trees makeup cloth is small but it does work well. Just my two cents for anyone wearing sunscreen. I can’t get the zinc products off without something to break it up.
Thanks so much for letting us know what has worked best for you!
