Would I be able to use an $8 register reward or Walgreens cash on my $10 purchase and still earn the $5 register rewards?
You definitely can’t use Walgreens cash. Why? You must spend $10 to get the RR and by $10 Walgreens means what would go on their corporate books as cash. Your OOP is cash. Manufacturer’s coupons are reimbursed to Walgreens on your behalf as cash. Even though WC has cash in its name it isn’t—it is a discount and lowers the price for you but doesn’t go on the store books as cash. Same thing on Walgreens coupons; it’s a discount not real cash. When you have a dollar threshold to meet count only two things the OOP and true manufacturer’s coupons. The $8 RR you have is a maybe depending on what it is and what deal you earned it on.
Thanks, JD827! You are really good at explaining how to navigate Walgreens!
Ok thank you! So if I need to spend $25 to earn $8 Walgreens cash, do I still earn $8 Wcash back if I reach $25 and then use $10 off in digital store coupons? Sorry for all the questions, I’m new to this.

The digital coupons come in two varieties: manufacturer’s and Walgreens coupons. In the scenario of spend $25 earn $8 in WC you could use $10 in manufacturer’s digital or paper coupons and still earn the WC but NOT Walgreens digital or paper coupons. When you are looking at the digitals in the app, press on the “see details”, right underneath the plus sign in the fine print it will say manufacturer’s coupon if it is one. If not it is a Walgreens coupon that acts like a discount. I hope that helps some.
