This Reader Made Classroom Valentines to Cheer Up Her Kid’s Class
Time to spread some love! 💝
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s a good time to spread some positivity, which is what this week’s Happy Friday reader, Kristina, has done!
I’m sure everyone could use a little extra kindness after what we’ve been experiencing since 2020, especially children, and, during this love season, it’s even more special!
My son’s preschool class has been feeling a little blue lately after several COVID incidents and having to be quarantined for too long. So, with Valentine’s around the corner, I thought I’d put together some snacks and Valentine’s treat bags for all the kiddos.
Now, I’m not a crafty person, but, after a decade of following Hip2Save and reading all of Lina’s posts, I guess the DIY content has inspired me 😂. I decided to go to the dollar store to see what I could find, and I was positively surprised!
I found the treat bags (which I thought were really cute as they say “gnome-body like you”), the paddles, the chocolate, and the lollipops. Then, at my local grocery store, I had some digital coupons for all the snacks.
Honestly, the savings and purchases were the shortest parts; the longest was putting everything together and writing the names of the children on the bags. Oh, and I also created two bags for our wonderful teachers! 🙂
I can only imagine these kiddos’ adorable reactions! Kristina, thank you for not only doing this but for sharing it with us so our hearts soar just as I’m sure yours did!
Valentine’s Day is not just about romantic love, so remember to show some appreciation to everyone who matters in your life. Happy V-Day and…❤️

Such a kind and thoughtful idea. The kids are going to love it!
Oh wow, thanks Hip2Save for posting! This made my day! The children are getting these on Monday and I can’t wait to see their little faces 🙂
So nice of you to do this for the kids. They’ll love it! Wish we could see their little faces.
Very nice! The kids will enjoy them! Very thoughtful.
My kid’s school isn’t even allowing anything to be attached to their valentine’s. No candy or food. Teachers told children if there is anything on them, they have to tear them off
Seriously?! What a Valentine Grinch. That stinks.
my kid’s school isn’t allowing anything to be attached to their valentine’s. No candy or food is allowed at all. THe teacher’s were told to tell the kids that if anything to attached they have to tear it off
Things have changed so much since we were kids! I remember my mom making cookies or treats to send in – always last minute lol!
I ordered the theater boxes of sour patch kids when they were posted here on hip2save. And last year I got all sorts of neat valentines for 90% off at Walmart. We will be pairing a valentine with a box of candy for each classmate and for the teachers. I think the kids will love it!
Yup. Always buy valentines on clearance for next year. Love to look inside Rubbermaid tub in January and see what fun stuff I bought last year. My littles are getting too big – maybe only 2-3 years left for school valentines exchanged. 😢
Sorry. I wouldn’t accept anything from anyone right now. I mean, we are in the middle of a pandemic across the globe. This thing is not going to end soon…
Oh my!
I am sorry you are still so scared. I am so blessed that I haven’t let the fear get to us. I can’t imagine still living in complete an utter fear all day everyday. You know this sickness is actually quite curable right? Research and don’t listen to msm. I promise you, you don’t need to live in this fear bubble. Burst it open and live life. You’ve got this!
If your child had a cancer with no immune system you’d be in the bubble too. Maybe you need to do the research yourself!
lol. be careful what stories you make just to win an argument.
We are immunocompromised as well. Living in fear isn’t living and if something were to happen it happens. I know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be there to pickup the pieces and I will be able to see my loved ones once again. The beauty of the atonement is just awesome! Don’t get me wrong I would be devastated but I see the big eternal picture and it is beautiful. I truly am sorry you live in such fear. I hope you can find some comfort in prayer and in Jesus.
Very wonderful thing to do!! They will be thrilled!
Yesterday, we had a nice Valentines exchange. My girls were so happy to give and receive them. Most appreciated was a Valentines squishy and a fidget heart ♥️
