This Reader Transformed IKEA Reusable Bags Into a Personalized Gift
We ❤️ IKEA!
From their Swedish meatballs to their furniture and bags, IKEA has so much to offer. You can even personalize some of these offerings like this week’s Happy Friday reader, Michelle! She bought some sturdy reusable IKEA bags and customized them!
This quick and easy thoughtful gesture would make pretty much anyone’s day, so keep reading to hear how she did it.
I was shopping at IKEA last weekend and came across these reasonable priced reusable linen-like fabric shopping bags. My daughter had the idea to personalize the bags by adding her monogram. We purchased one of each of the available sizes, a 3-gallon and a 13-gallon.
I cut out her monogram using heat transfer vinyl on my silhouette cameo. I heat-pressed the monogram on each bag. She was so thrilled. In the future, we will be personalizing these shopping bags for gifts for family and friends.
How nice would it be to give a gift using these personalized bags? You could give them for a birthday, graduation, or just because. So sweet and reasonable. I hope you enjoy this fun, frugal tip as much as we did!
Thanks, Michelle, for sharing this simple yet sweet gift idea with us! IKEA and DIY are pretty much some of our favorite pastimes, and I’m sure anyone who receives this would be so touched. With so many different IKEA bags sold, the customization possibilities are endless!

Can’t seem to find the price on these
In my area, the smaller one is $1.99 and the bigger one is $2.99. Hope this helps, Shelly!
