Hip2Save Readers love Adventure Academy…
We just got it yesterday and my 7/almost 8yo loves it! He’s the youngest of 4, so unfortunately he likes things that are a little mature for him, so I wasn’t sure what he would think of it. He just kept telling me how much he loved it. Today, he didn’t even ask to play PS4. He bypassed that for Adventure Academy. I disabled the chat feature for him, and he doesn’t even mind. It is really educational, and he loved all of the games he’s played so far. Today, he did a keyboarding game. It was cool.
My 12-year-old son loves it. He hasn’t asked to play Fortnite or Minecraft since we got Adventure Academy. I honestly thought that he wouldn’t be interested since he is older, but I was wrong.
My son (8 years old, 2nd grade, identified as gifted and talented) has been using this February and is obsessed. He loves it so much and got his older cousin (10 years old, 4th grade) playing with him. They FaceTime each other and play while FaceTiming. They talk about the game and sometimes help each other with the “lessons.” I don’t think he’s necessarily learning like he would doing his school program, iReady, but he is learning a lot of math and science concepts. I’ve heard him doing lessons on animals, simple machines, symmetry, and angles.
My opinion as a teacher and parent is that this program is a great balance of work and play. My son isn’t a “gamer” and has no previous video game experience (we don’t even own a gaming system), so maybe that is why he loves it so much. I wouldn’t depend on it for the source of all of your child’s learning, but it is excellent at exposing them to educational concepts while they are playing. My son gets up at 6:30 every morning and works hard to get his school work done so he can “do Adventure Academy.” My husband and I have even had to tell him that he can’t get on until after lunch bc he will rush through his school work and stay on all day if we let him.
My 7 y/o daughter has been using it since April, and she loves it! She has learned a lot of interesting- mostly science and social studies- type things.
Just downloaded it for my 7 year old. She loves it!
Yay!! So happy you could snag this for her!💕
