Tips for pulling off a perfect “You’ve Been Egged” Easter Gift Basket:
- Make it work with your budget by purchasing Dollar Tree goodies like jelly beans, stickers, and small treats. Add some miscellaneous Easter candy and a toy. Such a clever and inexpensive way to have some family fun!
- I recommend printing the tag on white heavy cardstock so it will be a bit more sturdy.
- Be sure to hide your eggs, and lastly place the basket and tag on the front door handle. This way it’s a little surprise Easter egg hunt.
What a cool way to share Easter cheer with your neighbors!
The kids get so excited over this simple idea, I promise! If your neighbors have a Ring doorbell, you can always have someone wear a bunny suit! LOL

Cute! I have the sweetest lady living next door and we just adore her. My kids see her as a grandma. She recently lost her husband so it’s just her in the house. How can I make something like this but geared more towards and elderly person?
That is sweet of your family to think of her. I think maybe lottery tickets, hand lotion, chap stick, hair cut gift card, nail clippers, word search books, chic fil a gift card, snacks, fruit basket, pedi cure gift card, a homemade “coupon” to pull or weeds or shovel snow next winter, etc etc. of course these wont fit in eggs, but you could have notes in the eggs that correspond with the “prize/gift. 💚💙❤️
Also, lap blankets for watching tv.
A church I used to attend would make Easter Baskets for shut ins. We used many of the ideas listed above. Individual snacks make great treats just do have something different than what they typically have on hand. Small seasonal decor items like a nice smelling soap and hand towel can be great. The baskets always went over very well and were greatly appreciated.
That is so sweet. Great idea!
