I’m an old navy employee and just an FYI that the coupon can not be used on a denim purchase. Denim will not count towards the $35.

Hi Kelly! That seems so strange that the coupon would not apply to denim. I just went back and looked at the fine print of the email that I received this morning from Old Navy and this is what it says:

*$5 Off: Offer valid from 2/21/14 – 2/23/14 at Old Navy stores in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) and Canada only. Offer not valid online. $5 coupon is good for one-time use and must be surrendered at time of purchase. Limit one coupon per customer per transaction. Copies not accepted. Not responsible for lost or stolen coupons. Discount is allocated across items. Offer not valid on charitable merchandise. GiftCards, packaging, taxes and prior purchases do not qualify toward the minimum purchase requirement and coupon cannot be applied to such items. Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts, including Gap Inc. employee discount.

I don’t see any mention of denim being excluded so hopefully this is not the case!

i just called my Old Navy and She said it can be on anything including denim …..but you have to spend $35 or more on your purchase….hope that works!

Only going by what I was told by my manager yesterday?

          • Cara

Hi, I am also an employee of Old Navy and as a cashier who scanned these coupons today, you are able to use the coupon on denim, as long as the purchase is of $35+.

Last time we had these coupon they were not good on denim but we are accepting them this time! Shop away ladies!

Old navy seems to always have a loop hole w/ their sales, it’s either a hit or miss

It’s probably the “cannot be combined with other offers” part. That’s how they got me last weekend… Since the whole store was 30% off they wouldn’t let me use a coupon.

I take it as you cant apply it to the purchase of the jeans that you tried on that same day which are on sale now for $19.

    • Bianca

      Actually you can!

I went yesterday and tried to use my coupon on items besides jeans and the cashier wouldn’t take it. She said jeans had to be in my purchase. I showed her the terms if the coupon and she would not take it
