If I remember correctly Saving Star is the one that charges you monthly if you don’t use there site. That’s why I don’t like them. 🙁
I don’t believe I was every charged anything. They don’t ask for any credit card information.
They don’t charge you anything.
Found it the fine print says if you are inactive for 12 months they will charge $1.99 monthly fee.
They can only deduct the $1.99 from the cash back money you have accumulated in your account. You don’t have to give them any credit card information, so they couldn’t charge you otherwise. The terms say:
“SavingStar does not charge a fee to join. However, it is your responsibility to keep your SavingStar Account active. If your SavingStar Account becomes Inactive, SavingStar will deduct a monthly Inactivity Fee of $1.99 from any Awards received in your SavingStar Account. Your SavingStar Account will be considered “Inactive” if, for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months you have not activated an offer, received an Award, or withdrawn Awards from your SavingStar Account. In the event that your SavingStar Account will soon be deemed Inactive, SavingStar will attempt to notify you at your registered email address before it begins to deduct Inactivity Fees from the Awards in your SavingStar Account. If your SavingStar Account is Inactive, you may automatically reactivate it by activating an offer or withdrawing Awards.”
But all you have to do is activate a reward to stay active. You don’t even have to actually make a purchase. “Your SavingStar Account will be considered “Inactive” if, for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months you have not activated an offer, received an Award, or withdrawn Awards from your SavingStar Account”
Sorry, didn’t see Kelsey’s response before I posted that.
Is this located in the cooler section or just the drink section of the store. Heading to Shoprite soon.
I found it in the cooler section at cvs.
I have a problem with saving star…before they took away the amazon payout choice I chose the $5 amazon gc, I believe this was in November? I think I waited plenty of time but I never got it, although the money was taken out of my account. I’ve been checking my email and it hasn’t come, or is it supposed to be on the site somewhere? It’s my first cash out so I’m not sure. Thank you so much for any help 🙂
Hi Ashley, It sounds like you may have missed the email from us as Amazon codes were paid out within 48 hours of a request. You can check for your code by going to My Account and then Payouts. If you need further assistance, please click the Contact Us link on the bottom of our website and we can help you out. Thanks, Josh from SavingStar
Thanks Josh, I must have missed that email but I did find my code I’m my payouts! Thank you again 🙂
