   I have a gift closet question and hope all these wonderful readers can help. My 9 year old daughter was invited to a swim birthday party next week. I was looking thru my gift closet and found a large striped beach towel. I thought I would use this as part of the present since it is a swim party but what else should I get to go with it? I really don’t have anything else in my stash that would work. I don’t mind going out and getting something but it will have to cost around $5-$7. Within the last 2 days my three daughters have each been invited to a birthday party. ( I have the other birthday presents covered).

  Walmart has some nerf water toys on sale. I think it was under ‘super soaker’ in the clearance section. They had water guns and some sort of ball to toss. And Toys R Us has 2 packs of the giant bubble wands for $5.00.

  I would put either a book, a $5 gift card (for a local ice cream shop or bookstore), or cash with it… (If she’s having a swim party, she probably already has the goggles, etc. that she needs, and you can only use so many swim toys 🙂 You could write a little note in the card about enjoying some ice cream after their swim or relaxing and reading by the pool… I’ve never met a kid who doesn’t love having their “own money” to spend 🙂

  Walmart will price match the website. I did it last week. U have to show it to them on your phone etc.

   Thanks so much! I picked up the Spin Master Disney Hedbanz and the boom boom balloon game! Had to do it on my phone because the internet was awful on the computer!
