My family goes crazy for chips and salsa!
We are obsessed with this salsa recipe and everyone asks me to bring it for family gatherings and entertaining. I love how easy it is to make, and you can just chop everything by hand if you like a chunkier version of salsa. It’s also very easy to customize how much heat you add. If you like super spicy add more jalapeño.

Looks delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Will this blend completely smooth?
Yes blend until you get the consistency you prefer.
Great thanks
This is an unnecessary comment
I have never put cumin, garlic, or green onions in my salsa. Lol.
To make it mild boil all but one jalapeno. The seeds won’t matter at that point. 😉
A lot of “tex Mex” places do though, I guess that’s,what makes this so desirable. You should share your authentic recipe though!
Just made this and it is great! I didn’t seed the jalapenos so we have some spicy salsa, but my family likes spicy stuff. Thanks for a great recipe. It’s a keeper!
I made the Zesty Quinoa salad for dinner tonight to go along with some crockpot ribs!
Just made this wonderful salsa! This recipe is a keeper. I did not seed the jalapenos since my family likes spicy things and let me tell you, it’s spicy! We love it. Thanks
Great! Thanks for reporting back. I know we love spicy too! 🙂
OMG.. i can make this is a blender.???,, like my magic bullet that i got frm kohls…thx sooooooo much . I can make this when we go camping ..there is a farmers market nearby..woohoo.. and i no whats in it then..God bless
This sounds very similar to the salsa my mother has made for years. She got the recipe from some Hispanic friends. It’s the BEST salsa ever!! It’s gone as fast as she can make it. And yes hers has cumin in it…yummy!! 😋
Makes my mouth water, thanks do much Lina!
Cumin? And
Cumin and green onions???? Never heard of that. And def not authentic! It’s like people when they put watermelon in their salsas.
