Note that to be eligible for this offer, you must be an Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card member– customers who applied and were approved for this card after July 9th are not eligible.
(Thanks, Leane!)
Does not work on Amazon warehouse deals, however the warehouse deals I bought this morning were an additional 20% off, which was only applied during checkout. I love Amazon warehouse deals. It’s usually products that have damaged packaging and nothing wrong with the actual item. Got a kids trampoline and a pitching machine 40% off the normal Amazon price today!
Make sure all your items are from Amazon, and not other sellers or warehouse deals (even listed as prime). I just spent over an hour looking for deals, only to find the code doesn’t work with half the items.
Me too! We actually had been looking for a week to make sure we were ready to take advantage of the deal this morning and it didn’t work. 🙁
Also doesn’t work on Amazon gift cards. Oh well!!!
Does it work on items that say “fullfilled by Amazon”?
Thanks! Just bought the $249 Roomba deal and saved $30 with this code!
That’s EXACTLY what I want the do.. Trying to get a friend with a prime Amazon card to do it for me and I will pay her in cash. Anything to save $30… It’s like an Amazon coupon code! Die hard couponer!!
Awesome! You’re welcome!
Worked great!! With all the discounts I paid $125 for over $200 worth of stuff!
Awesome you could score such great savings Sam!
Yay just did this buying things I needed anyway.
Does anyone know if this code can be used more than once?
This worked with the Amazon Echo even though it is only priced at $129 so you can get it for $99 today. 🙂
It works on Starbucks gift cards.
It works on Starbucks gift cards!
Not working says this offer expired. I have the rewards card. And tried adding the starbucks gift cards 😁😁
Loving this years deals! Last year there wasnt a single item worth my time (at least for me). This year Ive placed over 20 orders! Saved on diapers, wipes, grocerys, health care, a garmin backup camera and just got the sport brella xl for 1/2 off! Yahoo!
Waiting for a few more things and only missed one I wanted 🙂
is this cumulative? Or does it have to be the purchase of one single item?
Prime Pantry orders ship free today with a $60.00 order. It will combine with the $30 off $150 for Visa Reward cardholders. With Prime Pantry coupons, the $10.00 Audible credit and the $30.00 off, I got $150.00 in merchandise for $100.00.
It’s telling me VISA30 is expired.
Same here. Expired.
Me too, just now.
Darn!
The code is not working. It says it is
expired.
Oh bummer! Thanks for the heads up! 🙁
Chatted with a rep – says they only had a limited amount to offer. And, they’ve been used up. So, us people out here in Hawaii never stood a chance . . unless we got up at 3 a.m. 🙁
According to my chat person, it was “while supplies last”. What a crock of crud. I’ve wasted a few hours looking through deals and now I’m just dumping my cart.
Me too. Bummer.
I just tried to check out and it says “expired” as well. Will this issue be fixed later? Or was this a limited time deal?
I chatted with someone and got the same response. Dang.
Just read the updated comments. Sad, it would have been great if it had lasted for everyone who could, to use once. Thanks for posting though.
That’s too bad. I didn’t know it was limited.
The rep I spoke to said there was a problem with the code, but they are working on it. She said to keep trying.
Expired. So mad. I was REALLY looking forward to using this. Bummer!
I was also told it’s expired. Guess that’s what I get for taking my time shopping. 😔
Expired?!? Really?!? I’ve been “saving” things in my shopping cart for a week, in order to use this promo code. After half an hour on chat, I’m told there’s nothing they can do. I’ve been a member of Amazon since 2008, a Prime member for a number of years, but the buck stops here! This is absolutely ridiculous, shameful of Amazon to treat their supposed “Prime” members like this. Did anyone get to use it?? East coasters probably, but certainly not west coasters. Shameful!!!
I feel the same!!!
I will still use prime bc it’s great. The company is almost always great buuuut they really dropped the ball on this one. I wish they could make this one right but I doubt they will. Their customer service in the past and mostly likely (hopefully) in the future will outweigh my aggravation on this one. I do agree it REALLY SUCKS.
I still feel the same way. I spoke with both Amazon and chase yesterday and they pointed the finger at each other. I’ve been a longtime user of both. They should’ve credited everybody that complained the $30. They dangled a carrot and took it away. I wasted my day trying to meet the terms and conditions of Amazon sold products and they changed the terms within 13 hours of a promo that only lasted a day without bothering to update us. I’m thinking of sending my relationship with both and if not possible I’m seriously going to look at all alternatives when shopping and limit my Amazon visa usage.
Agreed, it is a terrible customer service experience and they choose to do nothing about it.
Seems they’re telling people different things, they told me the promotion expired at 12:30 pm PST, talked with 2 different reps and both said there was nothing they could do 🙁
I was very disappointed in prime day. Everything sold out super fast and then not being able to use the $30 off on my Amazon card was a a bummer.
Very disappointing. My son tried to order in the morning and it wouldn’t go through. He called and the rep went through it with him and read the rules together and she said she saw no reason why it wouldn’t go through. Long aggravating story short, he spent the whole day on and off, on hold, being disconnected, never being called back (even though they said they would) to never get it resolved. He is resuming the battle today (he says they have a record of his calls so he will keep up the argument). I give him credit, it wouldn’t be worth it to me. I am becoming disenchanted with Amazon, it has gone downhill from what it used to be.
I had a similar experience in that they would transfer me and not call me back after they suggested they do so. I kept demanding to speak with a supervisor and just kept talking my way past his patience. As soon as all of my items ship they are issuing me a $30 refund. There is a point where you just want to be reimbursed for your time, no matter how much longer that takes. Good luck to your son!
thanks, lyndsey. BTW, I always tell him to ask for a supervisor, sometimes it is no better, but sometimes it is.
I wanted to follow up, my son did resume his discussions with amazon today and he got his $30, so it does pay to persist. Fortunately he had the day off from work yesterday, because every time I saw him he was on hold. I think it got resolved much quicker today. I think they were overwhelmed yesterday, but it is their own fault if things aren’t working like they should. and as E below wrote, they did have a lot of nerve cutting it off early.
Ending this promotion early without making it known that it would expire mid day was a total snafu on amazon and visas part. They wasted a lot of people’s time. Terrible customer experience. I’m done.
Everyone need to check thier email!! I too tried to use the code and it stated it was expired. I called and they just told me the same thing. I checked my email and Amazon sent an email saying they loaded a $30 gift card for me since I was a valued prime member and they noticed I tried using that code. Sure enough, I checked my account and I have a $30 gift card!!!
