I have a small pumpkin patch, 10 pumpkins, in my garden but I like grocery shopping at Aldi.
Anyone know how to keep them from molding a day after I carve them?
I would try spaying them with a mixture of vinegar and water.
I always rub some vaseline on the parts that we carved (eyes etc.) inside and out. I also only carve them 1-2 weeks before Halloween. This always has worked for me:)

They always have great, large pumpkins cheaper than most others by far. I got 4 yesterday in Middle Tennessee for $2.49 each.

Man these ideas are too cute! The prices sound good but I like the idea of going to the pumpkin patch and picking them straight from the field. The one we go to is in the NC mountains and not priced over $5! Even for the ones I can barely pick up! Such a fun experience pulling the wagon around the patch! I can’t wait to look for them crooked stems now that I got these great ideas! Thanks hip2save!

If you live near a Valli Produce they have huge pumpkins for $1.47 each!
I always get great ones at aldi for $3 or $4. There is a pumpkin patch right down the street that sells them for $5-10. I love aldi!
