No, you cannot pay with points and earn them
That would be true since you are getting back a % not a $ amount. It’s always been that way.
That’s generally the case with the points back offers. You can’t pay with points
but i bought the route 66 women denim when the deal was posted on Hip2save a couple of months ago…and I received points on them.
How did that happen?
This “points” thing in sears is so confusing.

When you use the discount for 15% off of clothes you cannot use surprise points on them. Not such good deals then….
If I buy enough items tonight to max out at $50 back in shop your way rewards for the 100% back in rewards products, will that mean I won’t be eligible for the 100% back in rewards on Black Friday?
I was wondering that too. I bought the galaxy tab with $50 in pts back earlier today. All the deals are showing up as only giving me base pts so I guess they have it set so once you get your $50 in bonus pts that is it.
Just got off the phone with SYW employee in the USA and she said I would get all my points from the offer no matter if I redeemed or not.

Just bought the boots! You get the points back after they ship ( mine said around 11/30th). They turn out pretty much free after the points but the store gets you because you still end up spending your $50 there. That’s okay with me because I will use it to Christmas shop. 😊
Jen, that was my plan…and it worked beautifully. Over the year, all these SYW deals with buy XX, get XX back in points has literally allowed me to shop and then reduce my cost on the rest of my shopping using points earned. I figured I would need to shop anyways, so win, win. My Christmas shopping is DONE (with Syw and other rebate deals, along with great deals that Collin posts) and everything is wrapped too! Carla I looked at the front and back page of their back Friday ad…. deals are the same until 10 pm tonight. You have to add to the cart and then scroll down and it shows that you will get the points back. Hth

I’m on the Sears app and don’t see anything advertising Black Friday deals. The only category I see that it can be under is “local ads” but don’t see anything about Black Friday deals. ??????
Went to the store and they were HORRIBLE!!! This $50 cap (especially on the 100% back items, ex. the gold earrings that were $79.99) is not explained well and used as an excuse when the points didn’t occur correctly.
Bonus points take 24 hours to post
They are generally uninformed about these deals, even though they are open 4 extra hours, they typically do not get too far into these details like we do.
Shop your way is a different company than Sears and they have their own employees so it’s not really their fault for not knowing everything about it
I had $12.75 in surprise points…paid $2.40 for a 3 piece pajama set for my teen! Things are tight this Christmas, glad I can keep our new pajama’s on Christmas Eve tradition going. Thank you!!!

When you pay with points it does effect how many points you can earn back. Hope this helps!

i bought two different pairs of boots why didn’t the second one give my the 50$ SYW point? Is it only once? One pair?
50 is the max points back per account
$50 is the max yes, and also some boots don’t give you points back, even though they’re included on the list. The first pair I picked didn’t give points back, had to find another.
New to using this program. I have points from buying a fridge. If I pay for the boots with points, will I receive points?

There is a $10 points reward coupon when you spend $30 on home. This includes the small appliances giving 100% in points. Got the puffer jacket, Dutch oven and skillet…points capped at $50 but then the $10 added…total back $60. Now to see if they all come through….
There is also a $10 rebate on the Kenmore small appliances.
I mean if the points don’t show up we do have the option to return the items right?
