I went to the online weekly ad and added it to my cart from there. It initially shows up as $299 but then reverts during checkout.

carol you need to go sign in to your American Express account.. and look for amex offers.. there is one for $20 at staples click it. it’s added to your card.. then when you use your amex card at staples and spend $100 in 1 transaction u will get a $20 statement credit

I was able to get it at $299 by calling Staples customer service and placing my order that way. Others have price matched at Target online (they called customer service).

None of the stores in my area had the ipad in stock. I decided to stop in to talk to someone today and she said she was more than happy to order it for me with the $299 ad price. I ended up having target price match the ad though and was able to bring it home today. 🙂
My local Staples did not have any in stock and would not offer me a raincheck. I took the Staples ad to my local Target and they priced matched Staples and I saved an additional 5% with my Target Card bringing the price to $284.05!!
