Looking for a yummy No-Fuss salty and sweet appetizer or snack? Try making these EASY bacon wrapped figs stuffed with goat cheese and pecans! The combination of these three ingredients is YUMMY. You can easily adapt this idea to your taste.  For example, use dried dates if preferred, or also change the cheese to Gorgonzola or cream cheese, if desired.

I’ve gotta say this is one of those ideas you have to trust is good, because I realize it may not look as appealing in photos!  LOL.  I’ve served these at parties and they are the first to go.

This would be a fantastic addition to a cheese board appetizer with assorted nuts, olives, cheeses, etc. Also, if you need a yummy grain-free appetizer for a holiday party, this is an excellent option!

I just had these at a family members celebration last week and they were delicious, even for those who think they don’t like figs or the way they look! I TOO promise they are terrific!

I’ve always been a firm believer of this principle. But this makes me question it.

Yes, I have a friend from church who makes bacon wrapped dates for our parties every year. They are a huge hit! I can’t say I had the nerve to try them, but I believe everyone else, lol

  6. Christine

Where do you get figs in the store? Or do you use fresh ones

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

They usually have dried figs in the produce dept or near dried fruit like raisins…I get the big bags from Costco 👍

      • Christine

Thank you so much as I want to make these tomorrow.
Have you ever grilled them vs baking in the oven?

    • Laura

I think Aldi has them right now too!

  7. lala

Bacon wrapped water chestnuts are good too, how do you go wrong with bacon anything!?!

  8. nydia

I have been doing these for years with a dolce Gorgonzola and heating in a skillet. Taught my son, too … It has made him a very popular guy at college!

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Yum! And I bet 👍😀

  10. Laura

Yes! I just had these at a wedding and they were incredible!! 😍

  11. Dee

Split a date and stuff it with a water chestnut, wrap in half a slice of bacon and bake till the bacon is crispy. Yuuummmm!!!

  12. Nicky

These are awesome with fresh figs, and I use prosciutto which cooks quicker than bacon

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Great!! Thanks Nicky 👍

  13. Tasha

Trader Joes sell these, just pop in the oven for 12 minutes! So good!!

  14. lily

We make with only dates and bacon. You dip it in olive oil with herbs. It is really good! All our guests love them.

  15. jill

I made these a few weeks ago for my housewarming party. On the same platter I also did the exact same thing with dates. They were both delicious!!! I personally preferred the dates and so did quite a few others. But both tasted so good that it was hard to pick a favorite
