I ordered the Oak Leaf professional straightening brush last week from a post here and have to say that I was skeptical, but after reading reviews decided to try it. I have shoulder length hair that is in between wavy and curly and is generally unmanageable without a LOT of effort which means it’s usually in a ponytail or messy bun.
With this brush I was able to straighten my hair in under 10 minutes (flat ironing generally takes me 30 minutes or more) and it was super easy. So easy that I’ve been straightening my hair after every wash for the last week, which never happens with a flat iron because it just takes too much time and effort. And $19 is a great price for something that is so useful and makes my life easier.
Does it leave your hair frizzy? Do you still blow dry it first? Thanks
Kristie – it does not cause frizz and actually tames my frizz. Your hair does need to be dry before you use it so either let it air dry or blow dry – I’ve done both and got similar results. It leaves my hair looking and feeling smooth and shiny and it stays tangle free all day with just a quick brushing in the morning. It’s not going to give you quite stick-straight results like a flat iron would because it actually leaves in some of my hair’s natural volume while still being straight. Obviously results may vary on different hair types. I highly recommend reading the amazon reviews and looking at the before and after pictures as I found them to be very accurate representation of results.
