Did this deal today. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip.
You’re welcome! 😀
I did this offer 2x on Sunday. One time I chose to pay for it and I rec’d $2.99 towards the Beauty Rewards. For the 2nd transaction I redeemed 3,000 pts and was given .33 toward Beauty Rewards. I don’t understand the math for the .33 credit, but at least I rec’d something!
When we use points it doesn’t count toward beauty purchase.
How many times can you do this?
How many times can you do this back to back? Lets say pay for it with points and get 3k more can I keep rolling it until??
Well, there’s no limit to the BR, but the store can limit qty/transactions. My store was sold out though, so I couldn’t even do this deal. May try another store tomorrow.
Mel my all four store around sold out and management gave me rain check on ONLY one des l Sad 🙁
You will NOT get 3000 points if you use points to purchase. This is misinformation. ANY time you use ANY points in a transaction, you do not recieve points.
YES YOU WILL GET POINTS. Wags changed this over a year ago that you can redeem and earn when its a QUANTITY offer. Spend deals will not earn points when you redeem. Yesterday I purchased 2 Aveeno body washes, you get 5000 br wyb 2. I used 3000 ($3) and earned back 5000.
Kim go rad policy again
As Mel said you can use points for this deal. I have done it and received points.
Sold out at my store!
I got to my store before 8am on Sunday and it was completely sold out. Will check back during the week.
Wow, my store had full shelves on Sunday morning. Of course, that was right at open. Will see if they have any left today!
Nothing left on the shelves, this and Olay body wash, all gone! Went back at 7pm today, still nothing. The clerk told me yesterday they’ll get shipment this afternoon, and should be in the shelves by 7 or 8. Will go back tomorrow AM. We’ll see….
Good luck finding any of these in the stores. I went to 4 stores on Sunday night. All were completely sold out.
Anyone know if stores will give rainchecks?
Heather, I was able to get a raincheck at my store. I’m pretty sure you can, too. 🙂
Just curious what your rain check says? Is it just for the $2.99 bogo sale? Because the bogo sale and the points sale ends on 6/24. So if you redeem the rain check after this date you will not receive any points.
yes, they are only giving BOGO rain check but not for points. Some store managers might do it as courtesy but otherwise you won’t get points with rain checks.
I received a raincheck and the clerk wrote on the raincheck that I should receive the points.
I was a shiftlead at Walgreens. ANY time you use ANY points in a purchase, you do NOT get points.
Maybe you’re out of the loop then –

I redeemed points and redeemed points on this transaction.
S/B, redeemed and earned points. Sorry!
Yes, points can be redeemed and earned in one transaction. As long as the sale is buy a certain item get back points. You do NOT earn points if you redeem points on a sale that is spend $$ and get back points.
not a single bottle at my store. shelves were empty.
Yes, all the stores in my area ran out on Sunday morning itself.
Can someone please clarify the redeem points earn points scenario. If the total before tax is 2.99 can I redeem 3000 points and still earn points? Can points be used to cover total including taxes?
Yes, the points will cover tax.
Can you buy 4 and get 6000 points? Or so I need to have them rung up in sets of two?
On points deals where it is buy 2 items get back x amount of points there are no limits. And transactions do not need to be done separately. As long as you are meeting the sale requirement of purchasing in increments of 2. Hope this helps.
I was told yesterday by the store manager that the 3000 points was not on the BOGOF@$1.99, but only on the more expensive ones with the tags that say 3000 bonus points on 2.
I hate to say it but sheer greed is what ruins these sales.
The cashier said that a customer bought over 20 bottles on Sunday morning, that is just insane!
Heck, I would have been happy with just two bottles.
Of course when I got off work Sunday afternoon. the shelves were bare.
There should be a strict limit of like 6 per household or something in that ballpark.
Sorry for the rant fellow bargain hunters!
I agree! It’s great to get such an awesome deal, but extremely rude to take all the stock for one person, especially in smaller towns where stock is limited even on stocking day. Where I live there is only 1 Walgreens less than 35 minutes away, and that one serves a lot of people!
Would love to see a limit enforced! I don’t have time to travel to more than one store in search of stock and the website is always wrong about stock.
