Anybody has feedback on these sofa and love seat set? How does the leather hold. I don’t want to buy something that peal in few months.
Also, any suggestions on a good sofa and love seat set. I’m not worried about price but want a good quality that can sustain for few years. Any leads is appreciated. Thank you!
From my personal experience, I do NOT recommend Ashley Furniture. Within months, our sofa was tearing and they refused to repair, even with the warranty we purchased. After 2 years of having the highly priced furniture, we finally got rid of it.
Thank you both, I appreciate your response.
Is your furniture still under warranty? If so, call corporate. They refused to do anything about mine because the sofa was discontinued. They offered to only do a store credit for the cost of the warranty. I demanded to speak to someone higher up. She ended up giving me store credit for the cost of the sofa (900).
I️ had the same problem with the same result.
Lazy boy for life! We have a great store locally called Jensen’s that is a great price on that brand. Great quality and warranty.
The same for me.
Wrong reply
We bought our sectional from Costco last year and it has held up GREAT with 3 kids! I know you’re looking for a sofa and loveseat. Maybe you can check them out. We went into our local store and shopped. I don’t have any experience with ordering online.
We bought 2 of these sofas (at least they look exactly the same as ours do) in real leather 6 years ago. The leather wasn’t of very high quality, I have to say… After couple years, it started to really wear out, it is super thin in some areas now, gets scratched/scraped very easily and there is about 6-inch line on one of the cushions that’s about to rip. We got them from Ashley store (lots of troubles with delivery but that’s a whole different story…)
Now these Ashley sofas from JCP are faux leather, maybe someone will have experience with that too but I would assume faux leather wears out sooner?
These couches are terrible! We had them for less than a year and the “leather” started to peel off in huge chunks. The store refused to repair or replace them (even though the salesperson insisted that the extended warranty covers EVERYTHING). Also, the cushions started to break down so they were massively uncomfortable. We will never buy anything from Ashley again. They were a complete waste of money!
It’s not leather and it will peel eventually.
We also had a very bad experience with one of these sofas. It’s fake leather material and all of the cushions were through and got rips in them within a few months. I contacted Ashley furniture to try to purchase new cushions and they said I would have to go through the store we purchased from (Fred Meyer) and Fred Meyer said we had to go through Ashley and it was just a big mess and it never got fixed. The couch was a waste of money.
My dad has this exact couch, and both him and I hate it.
I got these this over the Labor Day sale and I LOVE it!! I can’t speak to the longevity of it but as far as comfort and feel, I love it!!
Does anyone have this set? It’s such a good deal, but I don’t want to get it if it’s not comfortable. It’s online only, so it’s not like I can go and try it out in the store. TIA!
We bought this set a few months ago and really like it. Can’t speak for how long it will last but it’s comfortable. It’s firmer than I thought it would be, but in a good way. At this price I could buy 4 for the price of the last set I bought so if we even get 2-4 years out of it I’ll be thrilled.
My mom just ordered this sofa. I told her about it last time it was on sale this cheap. It took a couple months for delivery, but she said everything about it is perfect. She loves the size, color, and firmness of the set. She thinks it’s very durable, too.
I bought two of these sofas! They are amazingly high quality and very comfortable! The shipping process was terrible though. Delivery was delayed several times.
Sorry to hear they took so long to be delivered! But super glad you have been pleased with them! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
My husband and I bought a Ashley couch with the warranty, after about 1 year the couch is falling apart and they refuse to fix it , be careful if you buy the warranty and what it all covers, we got took
Bummer! Sorry to hear you Ashley couch has not held up well 🙁 Thanks for the honest feedback Karen!
This price is great! But, Lazy – Boy is all I will ever buy anymore.
Lazyboy is obviously better, but if someone is on a budget and can’t afford $4,000 or more, this is a great buy!
Umm yes…obviously.
Bought the couch months ago. Really has held up great and the price is right. Would buy again. Delivery was delayed a day but went well after that.
Thanks for your review Cheryl!
Don’t expect much from Ashleys furniture. The customer service is a nightmare and the furniture is not good quality
We have this Ashley sofa and it has been continuous problems. The chocolate brown color has changed to a reddish orange color and it isn’t from sunlight as it is in a basement family room. The padding in one of the arms has separated into two distinct pieces. The vertical board on the back snapped and we had to replace it, it was held together with large breadline staples and not screws. We don’t have kids or pets, just a defective sofa we both hate. Never again will we buy Ashley anything. Our end tables, coffee tables, and dining table are all disappointing. We are replacing our entire house of furniture even though it is all less than 2 years old. We never bought the warranty either because we thought it would be quality and last awhile.
So very sorry to hear that Brianna 🙁 Thanks so much for sharing your experience with this sofa and other Ashley furniture items.
Our Ashley sectional had terrible wear and fell apart after a year. I wouldn’t recommend Ashley furniture but for the price it’s a good deal!
So, last time they had this sale, I bought the couch and three chairs. They are firm, which I really like. We have only had them a few months and like them….so far. Everyone that has come to our house loves them. I purchased them to update and for 1100.00 for four pieces, I was thrilled. We are looking at selling our house soon, so it looks great for Open House. BUT…………..I have to tell. I have lived in my house for 17 years and never had a mouse! Until my furniture came! One of the recliners had a mouse from the warehouse. The day the furniture came, my son woke us up at 2 AM and said a huge spider was crawling across the floor…NO SPIDER, a mouse. We set a trap next to the new chair and we caught him in hours! I called JCPENNEY to tell them the mouse came from the warehouse, they just laughed at me, like it was no big deal……WELL, I DON’T DO MICE!!!!!
So beware on all furniture coming from any warehouse.
So this isn’t as great a deal as it seems. If you look up the couch from Ashley themselves, it’s only $398 (don’t think that includes shipping). It’s called the Bladon on their site, but it’s the exact same couch (same picture and all). We bought a small Ashley with a chaise lounge for around $750 almost 5 years ago and it has held up really well (with two kids and a small dog), EXCEPT it’s sagged at each of the two seats for some time now. My wife thinks it’s really comfortable, but I don’t like sinking into my couch so far it’s a struggle to get back out of, hahaha. I think it’s just how she justifies flopping down on it each time she sits. For $364, I would think it would do the job for 4-5 years. Will seriously consider purchasing one of these.
I purchased an Ashley sofa that was on JCP and in Store at Ashley. The Ashley store sold it to me at the JCP sale price and I’m happy I purchased it at the Ashley store because of the problems I’ve had with the quality. They have replaced both cushions (after only 9 months) and are coming out this week to fix a broken recliner mechanism (it is plastic) and replace the back cushions. The Ashley customer service has been okay but I feel if I had purchased from JCP not sure how it would have been handled.
I bought the sofa a few months ago and have been very happy. It was delivered quickly and the delivery people were very nice. Placed it ans everything. Very comfortable. Not too high. I have a smaller apartment and it fits nicely.
I know this site is to help u save, but i do not do cheap. Quality of a product that I want to last 20 plus years is around $2000-3000 for my furniture, appliances and my Tempur pedic bed that was $5000. I by no means make a lot as a nurse, but I will save for high quality items. I think another big factor is how u treat ur stuff. If u let kids destroy it and eat on it you do not deserve good furniture. My kids never eat on the furniture so no problem. It floors me to see how others live and their stuff is trashed with the belief we can always just get a new one.
I bought my hubby a recliner – $234.20 shipped…. not too shabby! Thanks Hip2Save team!
You’re welcome!
I bought this couch a couple of months ago. It’s not high quality, but for the price you get a decent couch.
We purchased our first family room set directly from Ashley and within 3 years they started falling apart and they would not honor it their 5 year under warranty. To them they’re pealing couches are considered normal wear and tear. I would not recommend their furniture to anyone.
