Giggling. Yes I totally agree with you! Every so often I think they just try different things and try to adjust to more “mainstream”. Which is funny because they’ve kept their readers by just being themselves and not trying to be a big company. If that makes sense. I’ve noticed the last little while there have been more and more overly promote-hyped up things. I hope it doesn’t stay because I truly enjoy the site and personality that shines through.
I fail to see the problem with the title. Why do people feel the need to pick everything apart? It doesn’t matter what the title of the post is. Be glad that this site is around to find deals for you and save you money and time.

It’s just that the culture and tone of the site has changed significantly over the years and long-timers have a hard time adjusting to that. It is ironic that the site’s wide readership is also what’s creating the more commercial, corporate feel.

The title is not exaggerated at all. Disney toys are expensive & these are AMAZING deals to stock up on for the gift closet.
These aren’t the Disney dolls–these are the ones licensed to Hasbro. They’re cheaply made and the price reflects that. I saw a lot on clearance at Walmart last night.
Between the Tangled deals and Princess 7 piece deal, my cart today was literally filled. I see nothing wrong with this title.

I agree, I, too, have bern following since the very beginning. Lately, it seems the writing is getting less personalized and more click-bait “as seen on Tv” type writing. I still love you guys, but cringe when i see titles/writing like that. We are here because of you and your hard work. The new style might deter some newbies away.
Totally agree. Especially in the emails. The use of many exclamation points is not needed and I definitely think it gives the readers a trigger of “if I don’t hurry and click on it I’ll lose out” kind of approach. I miss the simple information structure for sure.
It’s tough to have that personal feel when there’s an entire staff behind the site. And it’s not just the writing. What constitutes a deal varies widely based on who is selecting/writing the post, there’s more repetition (and repeated and “reposted” posts), and there’s a bigger focus on extraneous stuff and social media. It’s just not possible to maintain overall consistency when there are so many personalities involved. Change is inevitable.

I am SO confused why people think there is an issue with the title…because I actually DID fill my cart with these toys and ONLY these toys because we have 3 little girl birthday parties coming up! I consider a title as “click bait” if it says “Run!!!!! FREE necklace” and turn out that you need to pay $15 shipping for cheaply-made-in-china-1-cent necklace. The title here describes accurately the deal Hip2save team posted. You pay $23 for $75 worth of Rapuzel toys. So what do you guys complain exactly?

I RAN my happy little tail to Target and picked these and the large pack of princess dolls for my girls and gift closet. Be sure to use your target scanner and compare prices, all of my Rapunzel items were FAR cheaper online and they adjusted prices for me. The lowest I paid was $1.86 and the highest was $5.09!

I grabbed one of each of the Rapunzel toys, and the 7-Doll Princess set for our present closet… my 4 year old daughter happily tells the cashier we are stocking up to give at a later time. I also was able to find many nice Barbie dolls and Rey (Star Wars), at our Nashville-area Walmart for only $2 each. Last year we were able to make an entire family’s Christmas happen, all with deals we’ve picked up throughout the year. Thank you SO much H2S, for making it easy for our family to help others!!!
