Through March 4th, McDonald’s is offering a FREE Filet-O-Fish, when you buy a Filet-O-Fish and use mobile order and pay. Note that this offer is valid once per week through March 4th.
Also, make sure to check your McDonald’s app for additional offers like get a FREE Egg McMuffin when you purchase another Egg McMuffin, $3 off a $10 purchase and even a FREE Medium Fry when you purchase a Shamrock Shake!
If you haven’t already, just head here and download the free McDonald’s app. Once downloaded, click “View Deals” to choose your favorite offer. Then customize your mobile order, apply your coupon, and pay! They don’t make your order until you arrive at the restaurant and check in with your app.

I think they were forced to match offers from Jackinbox and because of surge in alaskan Pollock harvest this winter. Fish that !
Yeah right, like McDonalds could learn from Jack In The Snatch, Ha Ha. McDonalds could buy Jack In The Snatch then toss them in the garbage with no loss at all.
I prefer the Jack n the box deal as well. $4 for a fish sandwich, fries and a drink.. Hard to beat that!
The best deal on that app is one they have available on a weekly basis. It’s the any sandwich for one dollar one. I always get one of the most expensive sandwiches. As a single broke person, I keep a bag of fries in my freezer for the soul purpose of making that deal turn into a 1.50$ cheat meal for me lol
I love the dollar sandwich deal too! I usually get that when I have to stay on campus late – inexpensive dinner!
I was going to say the same on the $1 offer. I’ll get a double 1/4# w/ cheese, and is big enough for 2-3 meals. Sometimes the offer will pop up immediately after using which is really nice. If you are going to for the Filet o Fish, you can get the double FoF for the same $1 (so maybe 2 meals for some people)
I did not know there is a double filet o’ fish. Is it on the menu or do you have to special order it? I love the McD fish sandwich!
The app used to work great for me, but in the last week or two all I get when I open it are those cute but maddening little jumping fries where the deals should be! I’d go to McD’s more if my app would work.
It tends to have issues for me early in the day or later at night. I just close out of it and try again in a few mins and it works better
Hmm, the app has given me issues before. I have deleted and reinstalled it and have found it to work much better for me now. Hope that might help you too Laura!

Has anyone tried the shamrock shake before? How is it like?
I haven’t had one since last year, so maybe it’s better. But the Arby’s Andes Mint Chocolate shake has ruined me for the shamrock shake. If you have a choice, go for that one instead!
The McDonald’s app is more of a pain than anything. At our local restaurant, you place your order through the app, then have to go through the drive-thru, pull up to the payment window, tell them you’re there, then wait for them to make your order just like you would if you skipped the app altogether. It also was a big drain on my phone. I just uninstalled it.

I’m sure it depends on the restaurant, and how much experience they’ve had with orders through the app. I just expected more convenience!
I had a great experience with mobile pay. No need to explain my order to the cashier. And my food was piping hot when I went to pick it up!

Im not sure why McDonalds has quit doing deals on the fish fillet during LENT… i grew up always seeing 2/$3 or B1G1 fish fillet deals the entire LENTEN season. We wanted to have fish fillets last week friday and they had no deals available – anyway thanks for the heads up will be using the app for this deal. Much Appreciated! 🙂
I miss the 2/$3 too. Lent is the only time of year I actually crave the fish fillet. Our stores are running a 2/$5, but I hardly consider that a great deal.
They had the 2/$4 special last year…but to me the 2/$5 isn’t bad at all. Normally each sandwich is close to $4.
McDonald’s app is horrible. It has not worked for me once!!

I live in Los Angeles. Different McDonald’s offer the fillet of fish on Fridays for $1.99. Usually they have a sign in the window that’s pretty big that says $1.99 fish sandwich. I have been using the app for quite a while and I like it ordinarily I wouldn’t eat a McDonald’s but if I get a free lunch or something free it’s a good bargain for someone who isBudgeting your money. On the app when the french fry jumps up on up-and-down I just tap it and then the app opens up to what you want. By the way I have never seen any sandwich for a dollar yet here in LA but I will look for it. Thanks
Thanks. Did this yesterday for the first time. saved 4.49$! It did show it was tracking my location and when i pulled up it knew I was there automatically. I still had to tell the drive thru window my code, but other than that seamless. I don’t see the benefit of using it (besides the deals) as it didn’t really save me time except from speaking my order into the window…
Downloaded the app but it wanted access to my contacts to install it!? I can do without it…
its really to bad about Mcdonalds not having any speacails on fish. The big guys don’t realize
they could make money hand over fist if they lower thier prices on the sandwich as far me using
a App sorry I don’t have a phone just a house phone – I really dislike a cell phone there is nothing that important that can’t wait till we get home! So I’m screw all away around no coupons, no Apps any sugestions? I’m still not buying a cell phone just for apps hey maybe you can send me a coupon, after all I worked at Mcdonalds for Dennis and Wayne and Keith in Crest Hill Illinios for acouple of years, wasn’t all that bad We had fun!! have a great day and rememmber ” if you have time to lean you have time to clean” thats what my bosses where telling the kids that didn’t want to work funny I tell my family that now.
McDonald’s would sell a lot more if they would just add chopped lettuce with the tartar sauce and a slice of tomato. Take one home and add them to your sandwich and you will agree! Sugestion box
