Meal Kit Boxes: Yes Please or No Thanks?
Sometimes there are little splurges that make all the difference in your life and a few of my team members are big fans of meal kits. Honestly, I just haven’t embraced these yet. It seems like a lot of money and it makes my deal lovin’ heart panic a little to think of paying full price for items I still have to take the time to prepare.
However, quite a few team members love the convenience, love being able to try new recipes that they wouldn’t try otherwise, and also love that nothing goes to waste since the ingredients are all perfectly portioned for each recipe.
With that said, I’m excited to let you all know that a few team members and I will be trying out THREE different meal boxes on a Facebook live tonight! 😮
Can they convince me that it’s worth the money?
Follow along on our Facebook Live Video HERE to see what we’re cooking up and how the whole process goes.

I was excited about Home Chef as this one gives you the option to select low carb meals, perfect for my Keto lifestyle.
Note that all of these offers are for new subscribers only and you will be subscribing to future deliveries. BUT, you can cancel at any time. So try out a box and cancel if you don’t love it! Note that the Blue Apron offer requires the purchase of two boxes.
We tried on blue apron for a week or two after we had our fourth baby recently.our church brought us meals for the month after he was born(&and my small group gave us restaurant gift cards!) but after that I needed something for new ideas because we were stuck in a rut and it was super nice not having to leave the house or meal plan:) It was good! It’s not worth the full price to me but we added a couple of new meals to our “normals” and it helped us out a ton!
I’ve tried a few and I honestly love them. They are definitely pricey and not in the weekly budget for my family. But, I keep my accounts active (most services you can keep skipping weeks) and just order as a treat or when there are promos. Blue apron is my fav. The recipes are more interesting and the produce and meat are always fresh.
If anyone is interested in trying I have 5 free boxes on my account. If you wanna leave your email I can send you an invite. I don’t think I can do it by link. I’ll need to send an email invite.
I have never tried but am interested. I would love for a email invite. Thanks
What’s your email? I’ll send you one?

I have mixed feelings about them. First off, they are wonderful for families who word around the clock and need some help with meal prep. Unfortunately, there is so much plastic through packaging and shipping for only 4 family meals. I feel terribly guilty when tossing out. We tried Home Chef last week and had wilted lettuce, dented cans of beans, and cherries that leaked out of the container. I would not recommend that company. I have tried Blue Apron which was good.
