When you go to the page it says you get a Google mini for free and at check out it deducts $49 which i assume is the price of the google mini. Would you still receive a free google mini?
I have the same question
Hi Kevin! We have just updated the post with additional details for that offer. It appears that you can grab the Free mini with your thermostat OR just the thermostat with the discount. Hope that helps!
Thank u…. even better military discount on top of it all.
Oh awesome! You’re welcome!
How’d you get the military discount? My husband is a disabled vet. Thanks!!
Nevermind, I figured it out!
Thanks for asking Jenn! It looks like you can opt for just the discount Or grab both the thermostat and the mini for $199. We have updated the post with those details!
When I applied my Ameren Illinois $100 off coupon the $49 savings dropped off 🙁 still amazing price though
Oh bummer, that’s too bad they don’t stack!
Does anyone use a Nest with Amazon Alexa? I know it works with Google, but wondering how hard itd br yo use with Alexa. Thanks!
We use our nest with Alexa. Super easy!
I think they’re neat and tech-y, but as a stay-at-home mom, is the Nest worth it? If I’m home all day and like the temperature where it is with my normal thermostat, how would a Nest be beneficial to me?
I’m a stay at home mom also, and when I leave I turn it up, and before I get back I set it back down on my phone. Every little helps. It’s nice to be able to control it from anywhere
If anyone lives and Georgia and uses Georgia Power, they have a marketplace that sells smart thermostats and other energy savings items, and they have the Nest 3rd Gen for $99 (+ tax on the full amount) available through 6/3.
If you’re in Phoenix ,AZ and use SRP, they give you $75 credit if u link your nest to your SRP account . Moreover, every summer they give you $25 credit too. You’ll get your investment back easily in a few years not to mention all the electricity you may save with a smart thermostat. Costco is also selling this for about $150.
What is the catch with the electric companies freebies or discounts? I ask because my neighbor received a free Nest and installation but in exchange she had to give permission for the electric company to basically turn off her ac if it ever got too hot and. For ex. If it was t emergency hot she would have hers turned off. She said chances of that happening are slim but still, they have access to her thermostat.
Yes, they have the option of turning up your temperature if demand at the time is too high.
They send u a push notification when they do and You can override it easily though if you’re actually home and want the temperature at the level you like. It helps the electricity company for those who aren’t home and don’t mind the temperature to be up a few degrees.
Is anyone else having issues getting it to deduct the $49 when you don’t add the google mini to your cart? It was working this morning but now shows up as $199.
Darn! Thanks for letting us know CK! We are checking that out now!
I can’t figure out how to get the discount for the google home mini. It’s not automatically applying and I cant find anywhere that says it’s free?
Hi Lisa! I still find that offer listed on the product page for the thermostat when clicking through. Hope that helps!
The discount is no longer applying if you only add the thermostat, but Costco has the same one for 149.99 for its members 😀
Thanks for sharing! Was that in store? I don’t find it online.
When you sign in as member it shows you the price, here is the link https://www.costco.com/Nest-Learning-Thermostat-3rd-Generation.product.100384629.html
