Note that these are not solely battery smoke alarms and must be wired in to your house’s existing wiring, or you have to add wiring if you don’t already have it. The batteries are for backup purposes only, and the alarms must be powered primarily by wires! 🙂 I almost made the mistake of buying the wired kind when I don’t have any wires already installed in my house!
