Of course mine is still in the $200’s with tax and code.

    • Chiajanine

      The 10% is tomorrow.

    • thunk

same. those darn fees ruins the deal sadly!

  2. chris

I was going to say, add in taxes and such and its a lot more money. Wish they would list that up front.

This. It’s in the fine print, but should be more up front. Ours was $99/ night. We only stayed 1 night since our daughter is only 3 & it’s only 2 hours away. But in the end with the resort fees, taxes, & what not, it was around $160.

Thanks for pointing that out! I just added to the post.

On the Great Wolf website go to the deals tab and if you book 60 days in advance, you can sometimes get it cheaper than groupon. Just a thought. Hope that helps.

Too bad our closest one (centralia WA) isn’t on Groupon right now. We’ve found going for one night works for us with 2, 4 and 7 year olds. I pack all our meals too so the only cost we have is the one nights stay.

    • Betsy

Centralia Washington is the closest one to us and are never on grouping. My brother in law and sister just started working there and can each get 6 people in for free per day. Make friends with someone who works there so you can get in free:)

      • Tanya

They always have Centralia WA gwl on Groupon. That’s how I buy mine. They had one that just ended a few weeks ago.

    • shop4mybabies

i just went july 11th with groupon to grand mound wa. However, its often cheaper to get it direct for great wolf with a bounce back deal or just looking at their rate calendar

  5. jess

so is the resort fee included on group on? or pay when you get there

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I found the following in the fine print: $29.99 daily resort fee plus tax added at purchase. Hopefully that helps!

We stayed at the Sandusky, OH location about a week ago on our way to MD. This was such a small Great Wolf! We have stayed at the Kansas City and Wisconsin Dells locations and this one by far has less attractions. We were ok since it was a one night stop over but I would not want to spend more than that at this location. The amenities and all were what you would expect at any GW but the lack of things to do in the water park may lead to easy boredom.

    • Jervine87

Yes. We just checked in today. We’ve stayed at the poconos location and it was so much nicer. We were surprised we could book this one so cheap, now I know why

  7. Shannon

Make sure you are reading the fine print. They have a $29 “resort fee”

  8. AngelaM

The Sandusky location is $163 a night for the cheapest dates, after adding in resort fees and taxes. A lot more than the $80 a night mentioned here.

  9. tracyS

That “cheap rate” in Kansas City is only for August 30, the water park will be closed until 5pm that day.

    • Jackie

And after fees is still $120

  10. Rob

Did this deal late last year and the hidden resort fees and taxes were high and ruined the deal for us! I feel that is a deceptive way of doing business 🙁

  11. Melanie

I booked reservations online 3 days ago. Even with the add ons, the suite I wanted is still $175 cheaper than if I had booked on their website for the 3 nights. Now, that’s WORTH IT!

  12. Rn

Is this deal good for the new Ga location…I’m only about an hr away from that one

  13. Kristina

$339 for a two night stay over Labor Day, not bad considering the peak time during a holiday. The resort in Dallas in amazing, good deal in my opinion for three full days of family fun, just over $100 a day is worth it when you get to see the kids really enjoy themselves

Do children under age 1 pay? Can you use a play yard in the hotel if they are the 7th person?

    • ellen melnick

You can go to the Wolf Lodge closest to you and they have a Live Chat. They are so fast answering question. I don’t believe any children under 3 have to pay.

  15. kitkat

Cheapest weekend night in CA (6 weeks out) is $229!! 🙂

  16. Karen Boylan

Perfect timing we are going to Mal of America and hotels are high the week we are going. I was able to book this for $109 which is the same price as the Fairfield Inn we were booked, well at least for M-Th. Sunday was almost $100 more

  17. n

Just curious… how does this deal compare to zulily’s deals when they have them…. would like to go to the Poconos one, but rates are still really high on dates we could go….

  18. Cj

I’ve never been there but what if you don’t do the water park in any way and just use it for the room rental? Will we still be charged the extra fees or can we get a room for 2 for $62+ taxes?

  19. Tonya

It’s only giving me 10% off. I think it’s treating it as the “Getaway” rate, since the GWL is not in our state 🙁
