That’s an amazing price! I had a woman make one locally and it was way more than that
These are the best for anxiety and ADHD. All of our kids use them to watch movies in the basement. Plus it’s a good arm work out when I lift it to fold it!
Oh awesome! Thanks for the feedback! Glad everyone has enjoyed them!
I made 1 for my grandchildren that has autism. It has been a life saver!
Helps in stressful environments, car rides and even bedtime. I also read they work great with Alzheimer’s patients as well
Thanks for sharing with us, Susi! Glad this style of blanket has been so helpful!!
Just wondering, is there code for the 12 pound blanket?
Hi Ginny! No, there are only codes for the blankets listed above. Hope that helps.
Are they hot? What makes them “weighted?” I live in South Texas and usually only sleep with a light cotton blanket. However, I rarely sleep well. These are expensive for my budget so would appreciate any additional info on them. Getting hot under covers is the worst enemy of my sleep.
The one we have for our daughter is weighted with tiny glass beads. And yes, she does get warm under it. She has to sleep with her fan on full blast on combat the heat. But, with that being said, she is sleeping the best she has ever slept. She falls asleep quickly and sleeps more soundly at night.
Hi Josie
They did make you hot in the summer. I turn up the A/C and use a fan I also pull it up so it’s not on my feet it helps to keep cooler. But it’s worth it to finally be able to sleep. Remember it does take a week or so of getting use to it. I didn’t realize when I did sleep I tossing and turning the whole time the blanket stops you from doing that.
Thank you JES and SKS for your replies. It helped me to decide that I probably couldn’t tolerate the heat of a weighted blanket. And I don’t need to spend the money anyway.
Also in Texas…and like you, a thin cotton bedsheet is what I use year-round b/c it gets too hot for anything else. These would be WAY too hot for us to use unfortunately.
Does anyone have this brand? The reviews aren’t promising
just wondering, how would you wash these? it seems like it should be too much for a washing machine.
Wondering the same about washing.
I wouldn’t wash mine. I use the cover wash it every week. I bought the cover off amazon but you could easily make your own out of 2 flat sheets put a zipper or snaps on the one side so you can remove it.
I am SO excited about this!! This is perfect for Autism and anxiety!!! I’ve been wanting one for my husband and son. I’m so happy I could cry!
Yay! Happy you can grab them today!
I dont know anything about this brand, but weighted blankets in general are a lifesaver for some people. I made one for my husband last year and he sleeps so much better with it. He suffers from anxiety and nightmares, and it made a huge difference.
Yes, they can be warm, so that may be a factor for some people.
If you have the time and energy, there are several free patterns online. I spent about $20 for the little plastic pellets and maybe $10-15 for the fabric. Natural fabrics are best, it helps them breath.
Oh and the styles with the filling permanently sewn into the blanket *usually* arent machine washable (unless they’re really small) but I made mine with pockets, and sewed the pellets into little bags, so the whole thing can be emptied and washed.
Sorry for the novel but we love weighted blankets in my house! 🙂
Thanks for the info Ackerson73!!
Thank you for the info! Would you mind sharing where you got the pellets?
No problem! I ended up buying the pellets on ebay, but I dont have a record of what seller. It was the best price I could find. I realized though that I think I paid closer to $30, but that was for 25 or 30 pounds of pellets.
Yes I know the promo code gives them a kickback and I’m totally okay with that (well deserved for all the work!) but the reviews aren’t good. Does anyone have this exact one? I have been looking for a quality one. I’d rather spend an extra 20 if it lasts more than a year
Any suggestions on what cover to purchase with it from amazon. I don’t want to make one.
I got a minky cover hoping it would be as lovely as the minky blanket my son has. I wouldn’t splurge on a cover, but this is the best price ever for the blanket!
i ordered a weighted blanket on prime day this year (different brand) and i love it! took a week or two to get used to but now i really can’t imagine sleeping without. yes it does get hot- i’m in fl- so i have ac and the fan blasting- – but most nights i just stick a foot out and cool down. it has helped the tossing and turning and i do fall asleep quicker. i was skeptical and wasn’t wanting to spend the $$ but i’m glad i did. highly recommend.
I have this exact one and really like it! I’ve had it for about a month. I usually sleep with several blankets but when using this it is all I need. I don’t get too hot with it. Our house is usually around 72 degrees. I don’t have a cover and realize I will have to wash it in the future. I simply plan to wash it in the tub. It can be put in the drier on a medium setting as the weight is from small plastic beads (like is some stuffed animals). I would love to get one for a relative don’t have the extra money right now. However, I plan to do so in the future. Hope that helps someone.
Is this a dead deal? The coupon didn’t work… got an error that it couldn’t be applied.
Hmm, the code is still applying for me. Maybe wait a moment and try again Or switch to a different browser to see if that might help. Hoping you can grab the savings soon!
It says it’s expired….I should not have waited!
DARN! Thanks for letting us know!
