These are the best for anxiety and ADHD. All of our kids use them to watch movies in the basement. Plus it’s a good arm work out when I lift it to fold it!

Weighted blankets, in general, are a lifesaver for some people. I made one for my husband last year and he sleeps so much better with it. He suffers from anxiety and nightmares, and it made a huge difference.

I usually sleep with several blankets but when using this it’s all I need. Our house is usually around 72 degrees and I don’t get too hot with it.

I turn up the A/C and use a fan, and I also pull it up so it’s not on my feet to help keep me cooler. It’s worth it to finally be able to sleep. Remember it does take a week or so of getting used to it. I didn’t realize when I did sleep I tossing and turning the whole time the blanket stops you from doing that.

I have one for my grandchild who has autism. It has been a lifesaver! It helps in stressful environments, car rides, and even bedtime. I also read they work great with Alzheimer’s patients as well.

My daughter has one and she has to sleep with her fan on full blast on combat the heat. But, with that being said, she is sleeping the best she has ever slept. She falls asleep quickly and sleeps more soundly at night.

I thought Brookstone filed for bankruptcy

Maybe that’s why the blanket is on a liquidation site.

Ugh, reviews say the weights don’t stay in place.

I had been wanting to try one and bought one online at Target ($249 less 10%) – I know VERY pricey but the intent was to try it and return it at at store vs mailing. My daughter thought there was no difference the first night and now after a week she LOVES it. Yes, it is hot and she opens her window AND uses a fan on her feet and keep her feet sticking out. It does not have the chemical smell that other blankets seem to have. We love being Consumer Report shoppers! 🙂 Now, waiting to see if there will be an amazing deal on these for Black Friday! 🙂
    Love you Hip2Save team! 🙂

Does the weight shift in this blanket??

      • Shirley Yeo

        Hi Lori,
By nature of weighted blankets, ALL of them will shift, HOWEVER the difference being the size of the “pockets” that the beads are stored in and how full each pocket is with beads. Shifting is very minimal with this blanket! 🙂 Hope that helps! 🙂

Hmm, the code is still applying for me as listed above. Are you by chance using a mobile device? If so, be sure to switch to desktop view. If not, maybe try again in a different browser. Hoping that might help!

Thanks—switched to chrome and it worked!

Yay! SO happy that worked!! You’re welcome, Kristi!

Just a note. Keep in mind you might need a different weighted size blanket in order for it to work for you. Someone 170 pounds would use the 18-pound blanket in order to work for them. Hope that helps.
