My target doesn’t carry any Hanukkah stuff! Southern problems. Great deals though.
None of the stores around me have any. I thought it would have been great to use in my class when we go over traditions.
I had to search on the bottom of a back end cap. But, I got 3 Mensch on a Bench for $2.99 each! They’ll be headed to local Jewish day schools. Thank you!
Heads up for anyone looking: my Target doesn’t have the Hanukkah items displayed in the holiday/Christmas decoration area. I found things on an end cap near office supplies/crafts area.
That’s where ours are too
My store started their 90% off on this stuff a few days ago, so they might not still be available in all stores. BUT I will say this, my mother always looked for the Hanukkah candles after the holiday because they make the BEST birthday candles! They’re a thicker and fancy like the expensive ones you buy for birthdays. These candles are 80 cents at Target right now and come 48 to a box, making this an awesome score! Our store also had the Mensch on a Bench for $2.99 and I bought one (We’re not Jewish, I just want my kids to understand and learn about other cultures. My Mom bought me several Hanukkah books as a non-Jewish child, and I had so much fun learning what other people do for the holidays! I’ll never forget making the potato latke (pancake) recipe for one of those books. It was a lot of fun and I want my kids to enjoy learning like that too).
I wish more people were like you and your mom, Ally! I love that you are teaching your kids about other cultures.
Me too. Thank you for learning about other cultures and religions and for teaching your kids.
Yes, thank you for what you do! I try to do the same thing as a substitute teacher. I bring my Menorah and Dreidels (that I got on sale last year at Target). I read Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas books to them. Just giving kids a little exposure to multicultural stuff they might never learn about otherwise will add so much to their world view and make them better people.
Literally galloped to Target 20 mins til close to see what they had! There was no clearance signage at my store but when price checked everything was 90% off. Scored two large beautiful Menorahs and a Phillips star of David light strings for 5.33! Thanks for the heads up!
WoooooHoooooo!! That’s awesome! So glad you price checked!
