Note that it is recommended that the blanket weight rating be 20% of your body weight to be effective, so 12 lbs blankets would be good for children.
I’ve only heard 10% so I was getting this for my 115# teen.

it’s 10% for sure…6 pounds is about average for a child, and my 110 pound 21 year old doesn’t like 12 pounds but 6 pounds with her regular blanket is perfect
It’s 10% of your body weight plus 1-2 pounds. I use a 12 pound, but weigh 100 pounds. Haved been using them for about 10 years now.
I have this and absolutely love it! I weigh 190 pounds and the 12 pound is perfect honestly I wouldn’t want it any heavier.
I got this for Christmas and am obsessed! I haven’t tried a heavier one so I can’t compare but the 12lb is wonderful!

I dont want the weight in the blanket to be shifting. Which brand weighted blanket has the beads sewn into the pattern/squares? I would pay more for this rather then having to readjust and shift the weighted beads inside the blanket everytime.
It’s telling me “out of stock”.
Weighting for these to be around $30 to give it a whirl. Hopefully, I will not have to weight too long.
