Charlotte Russe is Now Closing ALL Stores
Another bankruptcy!
UPDATE – As posted on their website, Charlotte Russe is going out of business and closing ALL stores, and already closed their online website. All stores will be hosting sales starting March 7th (all sales final).
On February 3rd, Charlotte Russe, the fashion store for young women, announced that they have voluntarily filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. As part of the filing, Charlotte Russe plans to close approximately 94 of its 512 mall-based store locations, but the Charlotte Russe website and other stores will remain open.
The company, which also operates Peek stores, has more than 8,700 employees with 512 total stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico. In its filing, the company said it applied for a $50 million bankruptcy financing package to help it continue operating, but it will completely liquidate if it can’t find a buyer by February 17th.

It’s sad that these stores are bankrupt. I used to shop at Charlotte Russe when I was a very broke high school /college student. I actually still have a couple of the items. I hope the employees get employment quickly. My heart goes out to them.
Well I personally love this store. Every piece of clothing I own from here is great quality, not sure how it’s cheap? Definitely isn’t the price because it can be quite pricey if you ask me unless you shop clearance racks.
