Are there additional fees not shown? Or is what I pay Groupon the final total?
Policies & Fees section on Groupon for MN lodge says there is a $29.99 resort fee plus taxes.
OMG… taxes and fees for the anaheim, ca one is $105… just for the taxes and fees alone…
Great Wolf Lodge said there would be a $100 fee per night when we arrive, so Great Wolf Lodge directly is a better deal for our family of six.
$100 on top of what groupon already charged? The fine print says $29 a night…
We went to Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs recently. I paid $118 a night but after all the hidden taxes and fees, it was over $170. It was still a good deal since there were 5 if us, but I wish they’d warn you earlier in the booking process. We ended up taking all our own food to make up for the difference.
I just booked a stay for $69.99 (coupon code Blossom; family suite non-themed; Sunday to a Monday), which is a great deal. Taxes and fees for Sandusky, OH: $43.40. That’s 62% of the room cost! Still a good deal at $113.39, but it just seems so excessive compared to the room cost.
Might be account specific because the code didn’t work me.
I have priced these Groupon deals several times compared to going directly through the site, in advance of course, and it’s ALWAYS been cheaper directly through site. The fees are ridiculous going through Groupon, and you won’t know total until you arrive.
Their additional fees are ridicious. Sure, it looks like a sweet deal on the surface but after all is said and done, it’s still super expensive.
My resort fee is more that the cost of one night! Bummer 🙁
It’s $50 cheaper to book directly with Great Wolf Lodge and there don’t appear to be any additional fees when you arrive. I’ve never been. Does anyone have any recommendations on these pre-paid food packages they try to upsell at checkout?
