This video doorbell allows you to keep an eye on your front door and speak with visitors using your smartphone. It also features night vision, an HD camera with a 180° field of view, and 30 ft motion detection capability.
The smartphone app is compatible with select iOS and Android devices and features optional cloud recording so you can watch recorded footage at any time. A built-in battery allows it to be used on its own or connected to existing doorbell wiring on your house.
The Echo Dot connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, ask questions, make calls, provide information, news, weather and more!
On the fence? Check out why Hip2Save Sidekick Angela loves her Ring Doorbell…
Recently there was a home on fire across from ours. We were upstairs in the back of our house watching TV and couldn’t hear the regular doorbell being rung by our neighbor to alert us. It was also late at night so even if we had heard it, I would have been hesitant to answer the door.
The Ring Doorbell app alerted me to our neighbor being at the door, and I could see the fire from the video (you can even see it in the screen cap above)! Luckily the fire didn’t spread, but thanks to my kind neighbor and the Ring Doorbell, we were quickly alerted to what was going on.
Is this a good price? Or should I wait till Prime day????
This appears to be an early Prime Day deal, Vivi! I’m seeing the sale price listing ends on Tuesday night. Hope that helps!
Great price. And you can always order and return if cheaper on Prime Day.
If I bought this for my parents, they can use it without subscribing to a service? We just hook it up to the wi-if and there’s no further cost? Also, they have Alexa—is the Echo Dot the same thing? Wondering if this would make a good Christmas gift. Could they return it that late if I bought now?
Yes no further cost is needed to use the device- HOWEVER if you want the device to store the recordings, I believe it is $100 annually. It is not necessary but I do it because I also have the ring alarm system- so in addition to the recordings I also get professional monitoring on my alarm system as well. $100 annually is a great price for all of that and it also saves my on my home owners insurance. But to answer your question- this device can work well with no other costs involved.
The service is $3 a month or $30 a year. And totally worth it.
I got this as a gift to donate to our local fireman’s pancake breakfast & auction.
I was able the get the ring pro and echo for $64
How did you get it for $64?
I think it was a glitch that got fixed now. I’m so mad I missed out on it
The pro doorbell is still working!

It’s showing $169 for me
Yes, 169 for me as well.
I got mine earlier but once I went to checkout it had the $60something price
Thank you
You’re welcome Nichole!
Yay! Got one. Thank you!
Whoo hoo! You’re very welcome, Sarah!
Just a reminder…. It will be $59.99 if you purchase it tomorrow with the $10 credit from Whole Foods (for those that have that credit in their account).
Thank you for the reminder, Mary! 🙂
So bummed!!! Just ordered and installed the Ring Pro about a month ago. Got it for $199 and thought that was a great price. Unfortunately I’m slightly over my 30 day return window. 🙁
Anyone know what make of Iphone you would need for this to work? I have an old one and I’m it seeing the app that would be required.
Not sure how old your iPhone is, but my husband still has a 6s plus and it works for his.
What app does he use?
Just the regular Ring app. It’s the same one I use with my android.
The app works on iOS 10.
Question – if I am getting the ring pro for the actual doorbell, could I get this wi-fi and use it like the ring stick up battery over a basement sliding door? I am trying to figure out if rather than buying the stick up for the backyard, could I just use this in the same way, and if so, would it “talk” to the wired ring pro? Thanks!
It says 69.99 but when you go to pay the price changes to 149.99.
How odd. Maybe try again in a different browser OR switch over to desktop view if using a mobile device. Hoping that helps!
Deal ended. 😫

69 for regular ring and echo… 169 for ring pro and echo..just to clear it up… reg ring is 720p…pro ring is 1080p
FYI: This is for the regular Ring 1st generation. The Pro model is the one you see for $169. Compare the features to see which one is better for you.
How to purchase this?!
You can click the links in the post above to take you to the product and make a purchase. The links are the letters written in blue, Sherry.
I ordered this last night and it was delivered about an hour ago!!! I’m reading the instructions on how to install the doorbell and listening to 80s music thanks to Alexa. Thanks for the heads up. I was actually talking to someone about installing a regular peep hole in my front door and they suggested this.
This is way better than a peep hole! I love mine, Becca! I’m so glad someone suggested it!
It isn’t coming up at that price for me and I’m a prime member and am using a laptop. It shows $124.98, even after I go to check out.
I just noticed it says Deal of the Day ended in the top right corner, so I guess it was a yesterday only deal. Bummer.
Earlier I didn’t have time to order before an appt. and I thought it said good thru tomorrow? Now it’s gone. Did anyone else see that note?
It said through tomorrow or while supplies last, Alicia Holman. They ran out and closed the deal.
