Does anyone know if you have to use both on the same day?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hmm, I did find this in the fine print – “Must use promotional value in 1 visit”. Hope that helps!

    • Kniphe

Definitely must be used the same day. It’s actually just one card that can be used for multiplayer games (swipe twice). In value it was worth. I guess it’s at the discretion/employee of the location if they want to give you two individual cards or a shared card. Went to Dave and busters in San Diego, CA.

    • Emily

At the desk they told me the cards were activated when you swipe them the first time. We saved one to take back another day. It worked once when we won two of these in a contest, so we assume that we’ll have no problems.

I have a student account and only paid $18.75 – didn’t know student accounts were a thing but they are!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

That’s awesome! So glad you could grab the additional savings!

    • Amanda

How do you get the savings as a student? I am one and would love to reap some savings too!

  3. Hilary

This is a fantastic deal! We purchased it on Groupon the last time it was offered and went last Monday. It’s only the blue games, but we had a wonderful time for a few hours playing a large selection of games and my daughter and her friend had a blast. I will most definitely purchase this deal again.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Glad to hear how much fun it was, Hilary! My kids have enjoyed Dave & Buster’s too! Thanks so much for taking a moment to comment!

    • Laura

What are blue games? Don’t most games give tickets?

      • OregonLexy

        Same question

        • Dan

Well I went on this deal. My 9y/o son had a lot of blue games to play. Basketball pop a shot. Racing and shooting games. My 7 y/o daughter however wasn’t into those games and weren’t too many other blue (free) ones

          • Dan

Another thing to look into is at my location Wednesday is half price on games. So double dip with the free blue games and cheaper reg price games

            • roxanne

At mine you cannot do this on half price day

      • Emily

At d&B the thing you swipe your card on is color coded. Green games are tickets, blue are not. There are also yellow and pink, but I’m not sure what they are. Our card also worked on yellow.

  4. Evan

This deal is only for the Jacksonville Florida location.

    • Nan

The link is Jacksonville but you would need to do a search for your location

      • Gail M

No, it’s several area. You have to get on your local page

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Evan! Be sure to search for your location. I find it available for other areas as I click through. Hope that helps!

  5. Courtney

What exactly is left to play with these cards? Thanks

    • Ivan

      Very little

    • Shop624

      Agree. It’s very limited .

    • Rebeca

We visited the location in CT and we were annoyed at how little “blue games” were eligible. My kids and I are accustom to Chuck E. Cheese and they had plenty of games that were similar or the same and they were not included in the promo. I do not recommend it.

  6. MommySpendsLess

Note that these only work on the blue swipe games. At my local D&B that’s a very limited number of games – only some of the non-ticket simulators and shooters. This is probably still a good deal, I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone who hasn’t been recently. I would still have to add $50+ for my 10yo daughter and I to stay busy there for a couple hours.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the helpful comment!

  7. Ivan

I don’t recommend this deal. Read the fine print… it doesn’t include games that give out tickets, which is about 90% of their games.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks a bunch for the honest comment, Ivan. We sure appreciate the feedback!

  8. Deborah

Read fine print. Only good at Jacksonville, FL location.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! Be sure to search for your location! I still find other locations listed as I click through. Hope this helps!

  9. Kimberly Fay

I bought this and used it a few months ago. The kids were disappointed in the games that the Groupon let them play so I paid more for them to play the games that win tickets. On top of that, of course they wanted food so I only got two appetizers and a dessert for them to share so this ended up being a very expensive trip. Not a deal, at least for me, at all.

  10. Lav

Approximately how many games can we play using these Powercards?TIA

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! I’m not finding a limit listed as I click through to the fine print. Also, the variety of games available may vary by location. Hope that helps!

Husband and I did this deal last year over the summer at our local D&B, which as the local people acknowledge, is not in the best neighborhood. The problem was, the place was PACKED (since school was not in session) and EVERYONE else did the same Groupon deal, so there were lines of people waiting to play each game included in the deal. Also, the kids had zero manners, literally running around and yelling. At one point, I hopped into a 2 player driver simulation game I had been waiting in line for. While the husband was walking over to hop into the passenger side, some random kid hopped in instead, swiped his card and started playing- all while I was sitting in the driver’s seat! Brat! I was so taken aback by his rudeness that I just walked away. That said, husband and I did play Pac-Man, which we enjoyed very much. It would have been a good time had the place not been so crowded, but understandably, everyone else was taking advantage of the deal too.

  12. Lisa E

Bought this deal a few weeks ago.
We were vacationing in Myrtle Beach and did buy more so girls could play games with tickets. It was a fun time!!

  13. Randi

I bought this for my kids last month and it was horrible. Most of the games are ticket games that my kids wanted to play so I ended up buying additional cards🤦🏾‍♀️

  14. Katttro

Did this yesterday in Milwaukee, WI. Blue games included the following: Halo (very good), surround 3-D flying simulator (good), zombie shooters, Mario Olympics, Jurassic park shooter, Ghost Busters shooter, haunted mansion shooter, a few other shooters, Mario-something racer, another racer, Batman shooter/racer, Guitar Hero, air hockey, several basketball games, huge Pac Man and another Pac, Man, possibly something else I am forgetting, plus 18 chips for regular games, which lasts you a couple of games only. The blue games were about 1/4th to 1/3rd of the games there, which is not bad.
We had a good time, and spent a 2+ hours playing, but I would only recommend this for older kids, teens and adults, due to the sheer number of shooting/killing games (80% of the blue games), not for younger kids for sure.
Also, we wanted to eat dinner there, but they permanently took the Impossible Burger (the only vegetarian option) off the menu. Had to go eat elsewhere.
Good deal here: yes. Place was not very busy on Friday night. Would I go again? Possibly not. The novelty was part of the appeal. But it was enjoyable.

  15. Cb

Thank you! Appreciate the deal. My son and his friend went to the Orlando one. They could play the blue games and like another poster said, received 18 chips for green games. For us this was a great deal, since we would not go otherwise. We told them ahead of time it did not apply to ticketed games, and were very surprised to even get the 18 chips on the green ones. They spent over 2 hours and were able to play and beat the games they chose. I do agree with the other posters, it is best for older kids or adults as most of the games are shooting or racing related. We are considering buying another one to come back at a future date.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You’re very welcome, Db! Happy they had such a great time! Thanks for the feedback!

  16. Bobbi Bowman

I bought this last time and did NOT read the small print. I guess I am too trusting, and this is deceitful! I love playing the games and have gone there every year for my birthday. However, apparently the small print said if I use this deal I would not get tickets! As far as I am concerned, this is not a good deal, as I play for the tickets! It was a wasted afternoon for me, as I like seeing how many tickets I win for the day. Waste of money! I will still play the games, but not from one of those “DEAL’S” Too many restrictions!

  17. Bethany

We used it today and it worked out great, thank you! There’s 4 teenage boys in my family, so it was perfect for them! They didn’t care about the tickets though

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

That’s SO great to hear, Bethany! You’re most welcome!

  18. roxanne

We had a great time with this voucher. Yes, you need to know what kind of games your child likes bc these are only racing/shooting games that are better for older kids. But even if you have to buy some tokens out of pocket, these are great to supplement with. Use tokens for green and red games, and the card for blue. Still spent way less money than normal bc we got to play basketball and simulation games as many times as we wanted and it did not count against our tokens. I would never expect $20 to cover everything at a place that I usually spend minimum of $100 with only 1 kid, not including food. Fun!

  19. Monique

I brought my boys (15 and 9) to play games out the house for a few hours. The 18 coins for tickets games were gone quickly but we are well into our second hour and they aren’t complaining. It’s $20 for a couple hours if entertainment. My oldest even lost his card and it was replaced without question. So Cali location.
