Would You Pay $300 for a Disney Princess American Girl Doll?
American Girl is celebrating 100 years of Disney with a new collection of dolls!
Disney fans have been waiting for this collaboration for a long time, and now it’s finally happening! American Girl is helping Disney celebrate 100 years of magic with a new limited-edition line of Disney Princess Collector Dolls.
If you want to add one of these special dolls to your collection, you’re going to have to shell out the big bucks. Each Disney Princess Doll is priced at $300! 😱
Despite the hefty price tag, these dolls will definitely sell out. American Girl just confirmed that no more than 4,000 of each Disney Princess Collector Doll was created worldwide. This is a very limited-edition collection and they will only be available for as long as supplies last, so don’t wait if you’re planning to buy one!
The American Girl Disney Princess Collector Dolls include Princess Jasmine, Princess Belle, and Princess Rapunzel, and they all come with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Each one is 18 inches tall with a soft cotton body, moveable head and limbs, and eyes that open and close. The details are truly impressive, with every costume adorned from crown to gown in Swarovski crystals.
So would you pay $300 for one of these American Girl Disney Princess Collector Dolls? No judgment here! They are absolutely stunning and honestly, I want all three of them! 😍

I guarantee you people out there will gladly pay that. One year, my daughter decided she wanted the limited edition nutcracker American girl doll for Christmas. So I got it ($300). A month later, she changed her mind! So, I went on eBay. The doll was no longer being sold. Can you guess how much it was going for?! $750-1200. No joke, people were buying this thing for $800. I wound up selling it low (650) to get rid of it and giving a large portion to charity because I just couldn’t stomach making that much money off of something so ridiculous.
Just might buy one because I know that someone will pay me 3x that amount around Christmas for their little princess (yeah, I know . . . I know . . . ), but I need tuition money for my little prince.
I won’t even pay the price of the regular American Girl doll. My daughter has the Target ones that go for $25. She calls it her American Girl doll – doesn’t even know the difference.
I’d buy the Target version
I showed my husband and he said thank goodness these were not out when our daughter was little. She did love American girl and for special gifts (only one was from us) she got she does have 3 different dolls and accessories. She played with them so much and loved them – and I tell you they each look brand new still. Even their hair is still perfect. She was never hard on her toys. They are now packed away for someday when she has children or she can do with them what she wants. They were expensive but they held up beautifully. But $300 – no way.
Mine was ordered days ago! 😬
Nope. Sorry. I don’t even spend that much on myself. We are a middle class family- both of us work in education. That is just not something we can afford. My daughter has several of the our generation dolls and ILY dolls from target. I buy them when they are on sale and give them to her for Christmas or birthday. They are excellent quality. She doesn’t even know what an American girl doll is. 😆
Have 5 boys so glad I don’t have to worry about this
Nope!
Yes, but not for those characters.
My friend designed these dolls. A normal middle aged mom that lives in the Midwest. Although she doesn’t get more than a typical salary, yeah I’d buy them from a fellow toy designer. ❤️
Very cool that your friend helped design these, Katie! 🤗💕
