1. Best French door refrigerator: Frigidaire French Door Refridgerator
Bigger families are flocking to French door refrigerators. This spacious fridge provides ample room while maintaining a modern look.
I wasn’t sure I’d like the freezer design, but the sliding drawer is WAY bigger than it looks. This feature makes it easier to see what I am storing so I can avoid wasting food.
There are many great French door refrigerators, but my top pick is the Frigidaire French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel. This fridge is super quiet and is well-lit with LED lights. I can also adjust the interior storage to make a design that meets my family’s needs.
This refrigerator has a high-end look without an exorbitant price tag and the energy-saving technology will save some money down the line. It’s truly one of today’s best kitchen appliances.
2. The best side-by-side refrigerator: Whirlpool Side-by-Side Refrigerator
Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator with Ice Maker and Can Caddy $1,619 (normally $1,799)
You can’t go wrong with this classic side-by-side style. It’s a staple in many of today’s homes and fits nicely in standard-sized spaces.
As I might sell my house, I hope to upgrade my appliances while keeping costs low. I’m looking for a high-quality model that can give me a return on my investment. The two that caught my eye were the GE Side by Side Refrigerator in Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel and the Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator shown above (which my Hip teammate Emily has). They come in black, white, or fingerprint-resistant stainless steel. These models include tons of adjustable shelf space, LED interior lights, and ice makers.
“I love love love my Whirlpool fridge! The side-by-side style is a preference for me as I’ve found I have a hard time organizing frozen foods in a freezer drawer-style unit. It is whisper-quiet other than when it kicks on to freeze some ice, and even then, I don’t notice it much. I bought an entire Whirlpool suite and I’m a big fan of this appliance brand!” – Emily, Hip2Save team member
3. The best double oven: GE Smart Double Electric Wall Oven
GE 30 in. Smart Double Electric Wall Oven Self-Cleaning in Stainless Steel $2,698 (regularly $2,999)
What is not to love about a double oven? This cool appliance isn’t just for professional chefs. If you prefer to host, love to cook, or just enjoy upscale kitchens, consider a double oven. Though it can cost a little more, many find the quality and functionality to be worth the price.
I’ve always wanted one and was excited to hear about others’ experiences. Highly recommended to me, was the GE Smart Double Electric Wall Oven in Stainless Steel. This snazzy appliance features Wi-Fi technology. Preheat your oven from a different room or look up the temperature for a recipe. I think the scanning technology is so handy. Just scan the barcode on a food package and the oven will adjust to the correct settings automatically!

I don’t know about that whirlpool microwave, we have one it randomly works and than it doesn’t it was brand new so I dont know if we have a default one but its a hate no love relationship here lol anyone else ?
My recommendation is to buy appliances with a longer warranty. Appliances are not made like they used to be.
I have the GE stove in gas and I have a few issues with it. First is that it has a storage lip under the display which makes it had to put a pot on the back burners and if it’s a pan it has to be shallow. The other issue is that after cleaning the knobs the finish has started to peel off. Other than these things I really love it and have the whole line. The dishwasher is awesome and very silent too. It has a bottle jet option and the bottom rack folds down if you have a larger pot or rack that needs to lay down to be washed. I have had my appliances for about 7 years now and they all have held up strong
Does anyone have any recommendations for appliances that will work in a white and gold kitchen? I need help, please.
