I got this for my 8yo daughter for summer reading. The cover of each book is super cute, colorful, and glittery. Inside, the text is a good size and spaced well. The drawings are a good addition to imagining the scene and the mood is always fun and goofy.
My daughter isn’t the girly type so she didn’t touch the book for a while. After some encouragement, she finally picked up book 1 and boy, did she take off! At times she couldn’t put the book down even after the timed reading. I would also find her pushing electronics aside to sit and read this book, without me telling her to–that’s not typical of my daughter!
She also gets excited telling me about what she read, oftentimes with giggles. I can tell she really likes this book set! She’s almost done with the whole set… I hope there are more Amelia Bedelia chapter books after this set!
