I don’t think front-load washers work all that well but if you throw some of this in there it takes the stinky build-up smell right out. I toss a tablespoon or two right into the washing tub with the clothes or I put it in the pre-wash area. I read something about it building up in the soap area but my detergent holder pops out so you can use powder versus liquid and I don’t get the clumpy leftover soap.
Used this to boost my detergent for cleaner fresher laundry that was very dirty and old (like thrift shop bad) and it really helped get everything get super clean. Highly recommend if you’ve got tough, gross, dirty jobs that need extra help to get clean. I used this w detergent and hydrogen peroxide and it cleaned like a dream.
I use on my husband’s clothing. An avid DIYer he gets ground in dirt, grass stains, and oil/grease all the time. I use pre-treaters and a cup full of this product and it gets it all out most every time. I’ve successfully re-treated old or stubborn stains too using a paste mixture of this and a little water, scrub with an old toothbrush. We also use this in our well water treatment system; just one of the components used in the process to remove iron. It’s a very versatile product. Makes great general-purpose cleaner all over the house too.
