Get The Latest Auvi-Q Coupon (Pay $35 or Less For This Leading EpiPen Alternative!)
Looking for an Auvi Q coupon? Here are the details you need to know!
Keeping EpiPens on hand shouldn’t break the bank. Try an Auvi-Q coupon, instead.
If you or a loved one have a severe allergy, you know that the cost of EpiPens can be crushing for a family, especially when it’s necessary to have multiple on hand for home, school, work, and travel. Thankfully, there are EpiPen alternatives and one company is even delivering cheap or FREE epinephrine injections to those in need!
Kaléo Pharma recognizes the importance of making sure that everyone with a severe allergy has access to life-saving medication, which is why they’ve created Auvi-Q, an EpiPen equivalent. Auvi-Q is an epinephrine injection used to treat life-threatening allergic reactions in those who are at risk for or have a history of serious allergic reactions.
What does Auvi-Q cost and is there an Auvi-Q coupon?
If you were to buy Auvi-Q without insurance or an Auvi-Q coupon, it can cost a few hundred dollars. Fortunately, eligible commercially insured patients can get Auvi-Q for $35 or less out of pocket! The complete terms and conditions of this offer can be seen on the Auvi-Q website.
If you aren’t insured, don’t worry. Those without insurance coverage that are in need of financial assistance, can apply to receive Auvi-Q for FREE. This may also include those eligible for Medicaid coverage.
To see if you qualify, visit the Auvi-Q website to apply to the Kaléo Patient Assistance Program. To be eligible, you must fit the following requirements:
- Have a prescription for Auvi-Q
- Be a legal United States resident
- Not have any commercial or government drug coverage
- Have an annual income less than 250% of the federal poverty level
Auvi-Q vs. EpiPen: Is there a difference?
Though their intent is the same, there are a few advantages of using Auvi-Q over the EpiPen to deliver your epinephrine. These advantages include:
- It is much smaller and easier to carry than the EpiPen (Auvi-Q is about the size of a credit card).
- Unlike the EpiPen, Auvi-Q comes with voice instructions to guide you through the application.
- It costs less than EpiPen.
- It comes with a very short and auto-retractable needle that is never visible to the patient.
- EpiPen comes in adult and kid strengths while the Auvi-Q is available in 3 different strengths, including one for toddlers and infants.
The big disadvantage of using Auvi-Q is that it is simply newer than EpiPen which is a tried and true solution. Auvi-Q also has experienced one recall since being on the market. This recall took place back in 2015.
Regardless, many adults and caregivers prefer to use Auvi-Q over EpiPen, especially when it came to administering the drug to children.
How to get a prescription for Auvi-Q:
Getting your Auvi-Q should be easy! Head on over to the Auvi-Q website to check your insurance coverage.
If you’re covered, simply download the enrollment form from Kaleo Pharma and bring it to your physician’s office. You can opt to either pick up your prescription from a Walgreens Pharmacy or have it delivered directly to your home. If you do choose home delivery, you’ll receive a phone call to confirm the shipping and delivery details.
Your prescription pack includes two auto-injectors and one trainer. The trainer contains no medicine or needle and is for you to practice giving an injection. Do not place the prescription pack in a refrigerator or anywhere else where it is exposed to extreme temperatures – hot or cold. It should also be kept away from the light.
If you have insurance coverage but were not covered for Auvi-Q, call 1-877-30-AUVIQ to find out how you can save. You may also be able to obtain an Auvi-Q coupon or discount when you use GoodRX and WellRX, though the current best offer is the $35 copay offer mentioned above.
Here’s what our readers are saying about their experiences with Auvi-Q…
“It works! We received the free pens last week after my daughter’s allergist told us about it.” – RC
“We have the Auvi-Q for my son and love that it can talk anyone through an Epi injection. It gives me so much peace of mind when leaving him in the care of others, and I think it also puts teachers and grandparents at ease being able to practice with the tester.” – Amy
“Love that Auvi-Q has this option. We have been carrying Auvi-Q for at least the last year at no cost.” – Jasmyn
“Love this product and the company behind it! Sounds too good to be true, but it’s not! We’ve ordered these several times and have been very pleased. Meds are free. Customer service is thorough, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!” – Sandy
“We just found out that my 9-month-old has egg and dairy allergies. An EpiPen with his dosage is on backorder everywhere and would cost over $300 with our insurance! We just got the Auvi-Q for $0 out of pocket and the company was so helpful in answering all of my questions. Even had it delivered on a day that I would be home so it didn’t sit out in the heat!” – Jessie
“I just got one of these for my family, as 3 of us take allergy shots. We didn’t meet the financial need requirement and it was still only $54. We do have high deductible insurance, so I was still pretty happy with the price. They ship it very well insulated and with a couple of cold packs. They’ll call you at home and tell you what day they plan to drop it off. They will drop it off though, even if you’re not home, so maybe don’t schedule it for a Friday that you’re going to be out of town for the weekend.” – Marisa
“I have two severely allergic kids. This worked like a charm for us a few months ago. Just be sure you are home to receive them! You don’t want them sitting out in the mailbox/heat/sun/cold.“- BergenD
