Here’s a list of notable December sales that you may want to shop:
Bath & Body Works Candle Day sale starts December 1st.
The popular Bath & Body Works Candle Day Sale only happens once a year, and when you combine it with coupons, it’s usually the very BEST time to stock up on the store’s 3-wick candles! For the past several years, this event has been the first weekend of December, and this year will be no different.
For the first time ever, Reward Members will have early access starting Friday, December 1st from 8 pm to 12 am ET! Other shoppers can start shopping the Bath & Body Works Candle Day on Saturday, December 2nd and it runs through Sunday, December 3rd! 🙌
The 3-wick candles hit $10.25 (regularly $24.95) in 2021, but prices dropped back a little to $9.95 in 2022. While we haven’t seen an official price for 2023, we’re hoping it caps out at the $9.95 price point. Stock up on a few of your favorite scents, and save money on Christmas gifts, too!
HIP TIP: Don’t have coupons or just want to pay a little less? Last year, Kroger had candle deals for just $6 per jar, and you can grab select Better Homes & Gardens 3-wick candles for $5.97 now.
Participating Target locations are offering FREE in-store events all month long in December.
Along with offering great deals on toys, home goods, clothing, and so much more, Target is now hosting fun and FREE in-store events for the entire family! 🤩 These free in-store events started November 18th but there are still plenty more throughout the entire month of December.

- 12/1 – 12/3 11AM – 2:30PM Meta Demo: The Meta Quest 3 will be available in stores & you can experience it.

- 12/17 11AM – 2:30PM Nintendo Demo: Kids can play Nintendo Switch games like Super Mario Party and Switch Sports!
- 12/23 10AM – 3PM Last-Minute Gift Ideas: Personalized gift cards and holiday giveaways for last-minute holiday shoppers

Mail a letter to Santa via USPS by December 2nd for your best chance of getting an official North Pole letter in return.
USPS is making it easier than ever for kids to get free letters from Santa Claus by mail thanks to their “Greetings From the North Pole” program. It’s designed to encourage children’s interest in writing, penmanship, and communication via letters, and they create a super exciting event that the kids can look forward to during the holiday season.
The USPS does not provide a deadline but recommends sending the letters out by December 2nd to make sure your kiddo has the best chance of getting a response in time for Christmas.

Head to The Home Depot on December 2nd or Lowe’s on December 16th for a FREE kids workshop.
The Home Depot and Lowe’s both offer monthly free kids workshops, and we’re big fans! The next event for each store is:
- The Home Depot – Gingerbread House – December 2nd from 9AM – 12PM
- Lowe’s – Holiday Delivery Truck – December 16th from 10AM – 1PM
These free and fun events are on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to register early to ensure your kiddo’s spot! Check out The Home Depot or Lowe’s sites to learn more about these events and how to register online.
December 11th is Green Monday and it’s like Cyber Monday for shopping procrastinators.
Green Monday is your chance to check off all the last-minute items on your list if you skipped or missed out on all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Over the past few years, Green Monday has emerged as the third-largest shopping day of the year, behind Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It’s often called “Cyber Monday 2″ because of this!

Score a FREE photo with Santa at Bass Pro Shops or Cabela’s until December 24th.
Through December 24th, plan to take the family to visit Santa’s Wonderland and meet the man himself at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s! Families who visit Santa will receive a FREE 4×6 studio-quality photo, as well as a FREE digital video greeting card featuring their photo with Santa to share on social media. Additional photo packages will also be available to purchase and print instantly in the store.
Keep in mind that advance reservations to get a photo taken with Santa are strongly recommended, especially if you’re planning to visit him on a high-traffic day like weekends or school holidays.

On December 16th and 17th, pets can get a FREE photo with Santa at PetSmart.
Santa Claus is coming to town, and on December 16th & 17th, he’ll be at PetSmart for their annual Paws & Claus Photo Event! During this time, you can bring your pet into the store for a FREE photo with Saint Nick. Photos can be taken on personal devices, or you can have the store snap a pic, which will then be delivered via email. Paws & Claus Photo Events are available in all PetSmart U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico stores.
Keep in mind that appointments are recommended and subject to availability. Walk-ins may be accommodated, but only if time permits. Head over to PetSmart’s Paws & Claus page to schedule now!

The Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale is expected to start towards the end of the month.
Historically, the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale comes twice a year – once starting in June and again towards the end of December and into January. Last year, the sale started on Monday, December 26th, so we anticipate the 2023 sale to start on or around Tuesday, December 26th.
