“I had been wanting a nugget ice maker for a long time. After a lot of research and keeping my eye on price tags. Prime Day gave me my opportunity. It was SO worth the money! It gets used almost every day and nuggets are always soft and perfect for eating. It is easy to run the cleaning process and it lets you know when it needs to be cleaned. Even with Prime Day discounts, it was still more expensive than other brands available, but the GE brands had better reviews overall. It has been worth the money!”

“I am somewhat hooked on pellet ice! So I got sick of going out to buy it and decided after many great reviews to go with the GE Opal and I’m so glad I did! It makes the crunchy ice everyone loves and it’s a breeze to set up and use! I love my GE Opal ice machine!”

What’s the differnce between the 2?
It looks like they make the same type of ice, but one difference is the capacity. The one on Amazon will produce 34 pounds of ice per day, while the one on Walmart produces 24 pounds per day. This model also has a side tank that will produce approximately 3times more ice a day. Hope this is helpful! 🤗❤️
We bought the newer version of this about 18 months ago and despite way too much time and energy spent cleaning it every month it grew black mold everywhere in the tanks and tubes…we just ended up throwing a $600 machine away because it was impossible to keep clean. (Only used filtered water too.) Highly recommend you run from any ice machine not part of your refrigerator. If you have one and think it’s going ok I dare you to grab a screwdriver and really get inside, we were shocked!
Oh no! SO very sorry to hear about the mold. 😔 Thanks a bunch for the warning.
