I don’t know how home depot does it, but at Lowes when you pay extra for haul away or just to have the old appliance moved, Lowes keeps all the money. The delivery drivers–at least in my area–only make like $150 a day (for a very long day). I am half tempted to not pay the haul away/move fee next time I buy something and give it to the guys when they show up!
