I researched a lot of coolers before making this purchase. It seemed like a good balance of cost, features, and weight. Sure you can buy one that costs double and may keep ice a day longer but it probably weighs double this cooler too. I just took it on the first fishing trip. I packed it with enough food and beverages for 4 men and 20 lbs of ice. It was easy enough for two men to carry, performed well, and cleans up easily. Kept everything cold for a long day on the water in 90-degree FL heat. Very happy with this purchase.
