I was looking for a camera to fill in a blind spot in my existing system. When I saw this LaView light bulb camera I knew that I had found the perfect item for my needs. The setup could not have been simpler. I was concerned about the WiFi connection but that turned out to be a non-issue. I live in an area that is saturated with 2.4 GHz signals which can cause interference. The LaView camera has not had any problems staying connected to my WiFi router. Do you need to turn the light on for it to work?
Great question, Rey! It appears to have settings that you can adjust for it to work with or without the light being on.
“You can use the app to set the times for the light to turn ON and OFF. You do have the option to leave the light always ON or OFF. Turning the light OFF using a light switch turns the camera off also. The camera does have a setting to provide an image if the light is OFF.”
