Create a Halloween Bat Wreath in Just 10 Minutes!
Time to get crafty with an easy and affordable DIY Halloween wreath idea!
If you are in the decorating mood, I’m sharing a ten-minute Halloween wreath idea featuring these cute black bat clips from Dollar Tree as Halloween decor inspiration! I especially LOVE this wreath because you don’t even have to be particularly crafty to pull it off, and I spent less than $15 on supplies for this project!
There’s no glue gun needed for this easy wreath and I am loving this very understated simplistic look to decorate for Halloween! Weaving in some battery-operated fairy lights is a fun touch that will look spooky yet adorable at night.
Tips for making this cute Halloween bat wreath:
- This wreath form was pretty affordable at Michaels, but be sure to utilize their coupon offers to save even more! As another tip, I will often find seasonal wreaths at Goodwill and thrift stores for cheap and then deconstruct them to start my next project with a fresh wreath form.
- Another fun option I found was this beautiful black glitter wreath form from Michaels but it was sold out in my area. You may have better luck spotting it to use as the base for your Halloween wreath!
- The bats are easy to find in-store at Dollar Tree, but if you can’t find any, consider cutting some bat shapes out of black foam sheets or grab some of these fun black bats from amazon!
- LED fairy lights make this project so cute and special. You can find them at almost any big box retailer, craft store, and online on Amazon. Dollar Tree even has fairy lights sometimes to use in crafts! Don’t forget to grab the batteries for them also.

Thanks so much Lori!! Glad you like this!
100% of these ideas are off pintrest. i hold my tongue bc i think she does a great job, but she should at least give credit to the original idea maker.
Love this!
Thanks!!
Sometimes Dollar Tree has willow wreaths, not that size though. They frequently have wooden blend wreaths and bamboo wreaths. The wooden wreath would need to be spray painted a dark color or you could wrap Dollar Tree wire ribbon in a coordinating color.
In lieu of the wreath, you could also use command strips on the bats and hang them directly in a solid surface of your house.
Great suggestions…thanks!
