Any suggestions on Which wine to give out as a gift? Don’t know much about wine but would like some ideas of a couple affordable ones to give out. Thanks!

    • Megan

Barefoot wines are usually inexpensive (under $10) but pretty decent quality. 🙂 I think their Moscato is usually a crowd pleaser for the people who like white wines.

      • Megan

        I should have said white/sparkling wine. 🙃

    • Stacy Younis

Agree that Moscato is a great white wine for pretty much anyone. A good red one I have discovered that most people like is Roscato (it’s basically a red moscato). It’s a bubbly red wine, so not bitter.

      • Emily

Avoid moscato for more “seasoned” wine drinkers. Young people in their early 20’s love it, but it’s very very sweet.
I’d recommend a crisp, dry white as a crowd pleaser. Chardonnay (although, depending on the oakiness some people might not like it).

        • Emily

Cupcake is an inexpensive brand that has a “cute” factor that I like for gifts. There’s also a sparkling white that has gold flakes in it for around $15 that looks impressive but doesn’t break the bank. 🙂

      • terri

No..it’s only for people who want sweet bubbly drinks. I hate Moscato.

Costco has some great wine deals, and we like their Kirkland Chardonnay that’s affordable. Also I hear Trader Joe’s has some nice affordable wines.

    • terri

I am a white wine drinker and do not drink moscato, it’s a bubbly sweet beverage, I hate it. It is only for people who you know like sparkly sweet drinks. I don’t and I’m sure a few others don’t either. Regular white wine drinkers like either a Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.

    • terri

I don’t know what you consider ‘affordable’, but taste should be a factor since you are buying wine. Go to a liquor store and ask for something, or at least look for anything around $10, that probably won’t taste awful like cheap wine might.

  2. Sham

    I love these!!! Thanks!!!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh nice! You’re very welcome 😉

  3. Mary

Trader Joe’s has Charles Shaw (aka 2 buck chuck) and I’d recommend it as it’s reasonable and compared to some high priced wines tastes better! Used to cost $1.99 now $3.99. Some liquor stores carry it as well not just Trader Joe’s.

  4. Tamika

What size paper should be used to print the tags?

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I would use white card stock paper- so they won’t rip easily

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

and 8×11 on the size – sorry!

  5. Barbara Pahutski

    Love these! Thanks for sharing!

      Sure- Cheers Barbara!
