Book by 11/1? Complete stay by 12/31?
Hey there! You have until 11/1 to take advantage of the 10% discount, but you can book your hotel stay out until 12/31. You just must have made your purchase by 11/1! Hope that helps!
Perfect timing! I was literally getting ready to submit a reservation through Expedia for our spring break trip. I saw this post and was able to change hotels and save $42! THANKS!
Woohoo! You’re so welcome, Jenn! Happy you could grab the savings! Hope you have a wonderful trip!
I used to use discount hotel booking sites like this (Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.) to save a little extra money, but after our most recent trip I will only book direct through the hotel companies themselves! We had a problem with our hotel on our last trip (the electricity was out and not expected to come back on until approx. 4am, there were sketchy people lurking about in the dark near our door, etc.) and the hotel staff on site had no way of assisting us to move to another nearby property. We called the hotel’s customer service line to see if they could move us to the other property, which they were going to do until they realized we had booked through Expedia, but then told us we’d have to go through Expedia to switch properties. So we called Expedia who (after 30 minutes on hold) basically told us the only thing they could do was book us a room at the other property but we’d have to pay full price and wouldn’t get any refund on the initial room. It was late, we were exhausted, had dying phone batteries, and felt very unsafe all around. I’ve since realized that if you find a cheaper price on one of these discount websites, you can usually call the hotel and book direct and ask for them to match the price. Even if it does end up being slightly more expensive, the peace of mind is worth it to me now to book direct!
Could not agree more! I used to use expedia but now only book through the hotel directly. I stay in hotels 3-5 nights a week for work and I’ve never paid a higher price than hotels.com or expedia. Many times if the price online is slightly higher you can call the hotel directly and get a cheaper rate than online. I highly encourage joining the hotels reward even if you think you’ll just stay one night. I don’t know why but even at the “just member” levels you get treated a little better.
I wonder if we have to use target red card to check out or if we can use different credit card
Just have a suggestion to re-post this on H2S. I am so glad I found this post about a month ago. I have now booked two hotel stays using this deal. With these two hotels, the rate on the hotel’s website was the same as the rate on hotels.com, but with the 10% discount on hotels.com, I was able to get it cheaper. Happy Summer Vacation Deals!
Yay! That’s SO great to hear! Thanks a ton for the feedback!
