It we got the batteries a couple week ago can we get them again for free?
I would like to know this as well
This is a new deal that starts 11/1 so you can do it again.
Is this really worth doing? Often I find that I cannot buy anything at the time my rewards are issued so I am debating if I should try. It is hard to pass on free batteries especially when needed. Any thought out there?
I buy the free batteries and then use my rewards to stock up on printer ink, paper, school supplies, etc.
I agree. There’s not much else I end up needing from office max so I only grab them when I need something else. And the things I could use from time to time end up being cheaper elsewhere. I have used the rewards to buy a new stapler with staples, hole punch, staple gun and lunch box. And sometimes I roll them on a second pack of batteries… you don’t get rewards on the second one, but then they end up being half off.
If that’s the case then I’ll just buy them on Amazon for $11 (extra 15% first S&S) no hastle. I tried this once in the past about a year ago and never got rewards, was tainted to try again but if you can’t even buy much with the rewards then may not be worth it. Thanks for the comments!
$11 for the 24pack
Keep in mind that Home Depot will have 40-packs for $5.99 coming up next Sunday, November 8th. If you’re not in urgent need and have no desire to roll the rewards, that is a HOT deal!
Thanks for mentioning the Home Depot sale, will definitely grab some then!
I can’t find this Home Depot deal. Is it only regionally that it is offered?
I always buy the free after rewards items, even if I don’t need/use them (can be donated). Then I spend my rewards on K-cups, toilet paper, and paper towels.
I forgot to mention, last time I had enough rewards for a “free” HP laptop…..
Thanks Everyone!!
One tip is that office depot price match, so if you find the exact same item in one of the qualified stores which includes Amazon, you can request that they match the price. This tip also works for purchasing rewards items like the batteries. If you pricematch the batteries, your initial out of pocket cost would be less, and you would get back the amount that you paid (minus the tax of course…). Also, free after rewards items are great for meeting the $10 minimum purchase if you do ink recycling. If you recycle 10 cartridges the same month that you made the $10 purchase, you’d get back $20 in ink rewards.
I needed the coupon to use on the batteries. Thank you!
You’re welcome, Sue!
If you don’t need printer paper, then use the rewards to buy TP, tissues, and cleaning products.
I love when they include the D and C batteries! I’m always stocked up on the A’s! I use my rewards to buy things like the label maker (when it’s on sale) and other office supplies for a nonprofit, women’s counseling place that I love to bless! I like to ask them what their needs are and then try to get that item. I love to donate, but I know they have specific needs too and I love to be able to get exactly what they need, and not just what’s free sometimes 🙂
Can I use my already earned rewards to pay for the batteries. And still get a full refund
No. Do not use rewards to pay because you will not earn more.
I tried doing this last year and never recieved my rewards for the batteries.
