Free Printable Weekly Cleaning Schedule + Homemade All-Natural Cleaner Recipe
If you’re looking to get organized when it comes to weekly house cleaning, I’ve got you covered with the fun AND free cleaning schedule printables below. You’ll have the option to print a cleaning schedule that I follow in my own home and/or print off a blank schedule and fill it in with your own cleaning needs/preferences. Happy cleaning! 🙂
Ideas for Use:
- Print and place in a photo frame and use a white board marker to check off completed tasks.
- Print and laminate schedule and place on fridge to use with a white board marker.
- Print and use a different color marker to assign tasks for different family members.
- Print a list for each family member and assign tasks to complete during the week.
And how about an all-natural counter and surface cleaner to go along with your cleaning schedule? This recipe below is so easy and it works really well. The Castile soap is biodegradable, made from plant oils, and free of chemical detergents.
Mix in a spray bottle:
- 2 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of Castile Soap
- 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol
- if desired, a few drops of Tea Tree Oil (essential oil) for disinfectant

I love 1:1 water and vinegar with a squirt of 7th generation dish soap. Cheap and easy!
who has time to do all of that every week?!?!
I do although I am a stay at home mom. I have 5 kids and I homeschool and I am able to keep the whole house clean. I can understand how this would be difficult if you work full time.
I’d rather spread it out during the week and assign tasks to kids so it doesn’t pile up on weekends – Just a goal not saying it all gets done 🙂
There’s a blank schedule to make your own if desired.
You read my mind. Who has the time to do something every day. Haha. I work full time so I think I’d rather hire someone. I also don’t leave stuff laying around. I’m naturally a tidy person
That is why it is just a sample, to give you a general idea.
This list is so much more easily then. The list I Have to do every week! If only my list was this easy! I only have two kids. But I do also work. So does the hunny.
I use a weekly cleaning schedule now because I was spending my weekends doing nothing but cleaning
Yes I try to avoid cleaning on weekends too! And I’m trying to give my kids more tasks 🙂
Tell me your secret Bre…..I’m a stay at home mom of 4. I also homeschool and can’t seem to get anything done! :)…lol
Me too Carrie, I just can’t seem to get it together…and I only have 3 kids! 🙂
If you email me I can email you the schedules I made that work for our family if you want an idea. Bremoeller@me.com.

They forgot to add ‘clean the dishes from 2 nights before because by the time you get home from work and swallow your food whole you have to be at the ballpark for the rest of the night (or insert your kids evening activity), then come home, help with homework, give the kids a bath and get them in bed, and try to get everything ready to make it through the next day….. and REPEAT.” We do good to have clean dishes to eat off of and bathrooms with a full roll of toilet paper in it! Forget the clean cabinets and closets!
I’m glad I’m not the only one! 🙂
Ha I can relate to being at baseball all night – for the closets I just meant to check, declutter and hang up any clothes on floor ect. Not clean them out 🙂 Ours get out of control fast!
I love my therapeutic grade essential oils! They have been a blessing to my family’s health. If you want to know how to order them email me:)

Instead of laminating, you could also put the sheet into a page protector (like for binders) and use that with a dry erase marker. We do that for the kids morning checklist and put in on the fridge. When it gets old, just toss and use a new page protector.
Oh love that!
I have made my own cleaning products with the tea tree oil suggested here, or with my thieves (think cinnamon and clove-ish) with lemon EOs. I have also started making my own foaming hand sops and room sprays with none of the chemicals of the store bought stuff!
If you would like to hear other ways to use essential oils, let me know! I love talking about them!!

Anyone know of home made recipes or tips for cleaning that gunk off the top of the hood vent? Also the same gunk on my wood cabinets. Dawn alone ain’t cutting it.
2 parts baking soda & 1 part coconut oil….works great! also good for the sticky residue from labels and tons of other uses!
I think I actually did 1 part of each…
Don’t put any oil on your stove range hood vent — fire hazard! The baking soda is a great idea though. Just with water or some vinegar would do the trick.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, that’s what I use for greasy build-up on the stove top. I;m not sure if you can use it on wood cabinets though.
Thanks Lina! A cleaning schedule is a great idea (and one I’ve been meaning to implement) since I seem to not clean everything enough, or rather I tend to clean *some* things a lot ( counters, kitchen etc.) but not others ( upstairs bathrooms 😳).
Love your posts! 😊
Thanks Meredith!
my favorite homeade cleaner is half vinegar and half dawn in the long handled soap dispenser kitchen brushes left in my shower! so handy!
For daily wiping, just use e-cloths to save on paper towels. They use only water and kill 99% of the bacteria so safe for your little ones to help. The window pack is awesome!! Just got an email sale alert and it includes free shipping!! https://www.ecloth.com/Specials/
I love this schedule. Even if you can’t do it all, I think it helps to have an idea or plan of what should be getting done. I wish I’d had this back when I homeschooled, & back when basketball, soccer, gymnastics, etc., was an integral part of life. It’s easier now with family grown up; but, would you believe I miss those hectic weeknights? Enjoy your kids (& the chaos) while you can. I’m really glad I spent so much time with my family; it was worth it.
That’s a really nice comment Lynda! You’re so right. 😀
