Great deal, never been but heard great things and planning to do for a birthday party in March. Does anyone have any magicquest wands they would like to sell? Am currently looking for 6 total. Thanks!

We got the last great wolf lodge deal with zulily in Dallas last october and everything was great except the water was freezing. We won’t go back

    • Jeremiah2911

We also found the water to be extremely cold, and even wen’t in the summer!

        Love your screen name 😊

      • Christine

I also love your screen name! One of my favorite scriptures and I definitely needed a reminder of this today-so thank you!!

      • Steph-B

        My daughter’s life verse ❤️

      • Jessica

Thankyou for Jeremia2911 beautiful verse. Got me to open my Bible this mornong. God bless you 🙂

The fine print on the Kansas City one shows a $29.99/night resort fee! Yikes!

    • Jackie

I know, they kill you with those outrageous fees. That’s why I usually don’t get very excited when I see these deals.

    • Amy

Yeah after resort fees and taxes cost for me is $185 in Mason Ohio. I live 45 min away I don’t need the hotel room. I wish I could get a slight discount for not using the room.

      • Sherry

The water park is only allowed to be used by hotel guest.

        • Amy

I know that is why I wish they offered discounts for not using the room. Maybe someone should come up with an indoor waterpark with no hotel attached. I bet great wolf lodge would go belly up. Usually people need a hotel because they go on vacation. It just seems silly to go on vacation to great wolf lodge.

      • Just passing through

I’m in Ohio also. I think Maui sands and castaway bay ( Sandusky area) have water park passes but think they’re about $30 per person. There’s also kalahari which my sil says is the better than great wolf lodge.

      • ResseCup

Check out Coco Key in Cincy which I believe is out in Tri-County. You can buy day passes and save by staying at another hotel close by.

    • DealAddict

$53 fees & taxes. Yikes. That certainly killed the deal.

  4. Michelle

Same as last year our spring break is not available for this Groupon deal… 😥

    • Jen

These promos usually exclude peak seasons & holidays. Your best bet if you’re limited to a window of travel is to book at least 60 days in advance. We saved 50% off summer rates this way last year.

      • Day-to-day

That’s what we did also, I booked last week for 5 nights in June at the NC location. 50% off. Price wasn’t too bad after that and a code I was sent. We’ve never been there but trying to do something different and check out some local history as well. Kids are excited 🙂

  5. carla

The taxes though! $161 just in taxes for a 2 night stay turned a $259 stay into $400!!??? Outrageous. I don’t even think that includes the daily parking fee. And does that include the daily resort fee of $30? smh… nice try groupon.

    • Jamie

There was no parking fee beyond what we paid when we booked. Hope that helps

    • Tina

There was an additional parking fee at the Southern California location.

    • Mel

No parking fee but yes alto of hidden fees will never go back your pricing is about right

    • Missy

Yea that’s about right taxes and hidden fees are ridiculous ..UNsupervised kids running around everywhere all hours of the night we will never go back ..

  6. Scarlet B

Waiting for the new Bloomington, MN location to be included in one of these deals… My kiddos love the waterpark (it used to be Waterpark of America), but now only guests of the hotel can use the waterpark.

    • Elvira

Sign up for their emails on their website and they usually send good deals too. I got an email offer for weekend rate of $99 ($142 after taxes) which we definitely snatched up.

We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge Last year during winter break because they cater to families with food allergies and do a great job! But they charged us 180 dollars in “Resort Fees” for 2 nights. It cost us 500 bucks for 2 nights in the Cabin Suite. The “Deal price” was 150 a night for the Family Bunk bed Cabin suite in Traverse City Michigan. When I asked what the “Resort fees” were they said things like towel service and Wifi, things normal hotels include in their hotel service price.
ALSO, If you buy the “Family Suite” that says “Fits 6”, They will charge you 50 bucks a NIGHT over 4 guest over the age of 3. So prices add up! I have 4 kids and only 1 of them is big enough to ride the water slides due to height restrictions. So we pay for something our 3 kids can’t even use!!

    • Carla

Looks like they make up for the “free” waterpark with their taxes.

  8. woopdee

Too bad they murder you on Presidents week pricing

  9. Kay

Went last Nov using Groupon for similar price. Went to NC one. Loved it n can’t wait to go back. Very family n kid friendly. Great customer service. So fun n such a great deal. Going to regular water park outdoors for a day already cost $40 pp at some places.

    • Carla

      Good point.

  10. JA

Way OT, but I am thinking about doing a little getaway to avoid family for Easter. What other sort of indoor activity type place could we go to that isn’t a water park? We are Pittsburgh area, but wouldn’t mind a few hours drive. Weather is the biggest factor. TIA!

  11. Boymamato4

So much cheaper to book through GWL directly. We’re a family of six and go three times a year.

  12. Kim Rodriguez

They are building one in AZ. Maybe a staycation sometime. 🙂

  13. Max

Most of them as bed bugs problems

    • Boymamato4

We’ve gone three times a year for five years and have never had an issue with bed bugs.

    • Rochelle

Bogus FB rumors proven to be untrue multiple times.

    • Elvira

We’ve gone once a year for past 6 years and haven’t encountered those pesky things. (WA location)

  14. Shannon

Got 2 nights for $286! Not bad considering one night is that much during peak Tim and this includes the water park passes. Thanks!

    • Jennifer

      That is a great deal!

  15. Rn404

Is this good at the Lagrange,He location opening soon

We have stayed at the great wolf lodge three times now. We love it! I signed up for their emails and watch them for the best sales. Last time we went it was just over $100 per night and that was with all taxes and fees included. They have so many great things for the kids. Water park, coloring station, morning exercises, nightly games and story time, balloon animals….and all of that is included for free. They also have things that are an extra charge like the video games, magi quest, “build a bear” type animals you can stuff and take home. We typically don’t do all the extras because we are on a tight budget but we love the water park and other freebies they offer. Also last time we went I was going to do the mommy/me pedicure at the spa with my daughter as we had a little extra for this stay and thought that would be fun. The associate that was going to do ours got the flu and they had to cancel it. My daughter was really disappointed but they refunded our money, gave us four free scoops of ice cream, and a gift certificate for a free mommy and me pedicure next time we go ($60 value!) I’ve always had great customer service there. We will be going back again.

  18. pokz

Get a 1 night then theyll send u an email night before ur check out if u want to tay another night…that will save u if u cant get a 2 night right at a bat

  19. Chrissy

Checked for 2 nights for our spring break and it was over $400 a night!!! The week before was under $200 a night. Not worth the 3 1/2 hour drive.

  20. Heather C

I have a teenager and a 21 year old…..is this park age appropriate, or is it really for younger kids?

    • Mizz Mo

The one here in Washington has beer and wine with the hotel right there. I would say yes 🙂

    • Liz

They have about three big slides, a lazy river and a wave pool at our location. A tiny super over priced arcade, beer and wine but that’s about it. The whole hotel is decked out head to toe in little kid stuff with little kids running around. I would probably pass considering the prices and how much else is available for that age.

    • Emily

I took my 15 year old last year and he loved it! I loved it as an adult also, if you like swimming you’ll have a blast. They also have a huge hot tub!

  21. Jen

FYI at least for the Boston location, it’s the same/cheaper to book via a coupon code on their website. Especially if you want to include late checkout or breakfast. The availability is much better too, more Sundays/Friday’s than show up on Groupon. “SAVESTAY” code is pretty much the same as the prices on the Groupon deal and also discounts breakfast (22/pp normally, $11.33pp with code, and kids Friday wolf den suite with breakfast for 3 and late checkout for $333. This wasn’t even an option via Groupon but would have been the same or more if our dates were open.

We have little guys so we splurged in the den & late checkout so they can have a nap space.

    • Nikki

Jen, I didn’t see this code on their website but it worked!! thank you so much for the info! you made our day as we got our room for just under $200 with taxes included!!
